wind shield protection film
Hey,
The happy day at last has come. Picking up my first Porsche on next Sunday. Has to travel 350kms to Kochi (South India) from my town. This will be first T of my country. Lucky to get an allocation.
Planning to PPF as soon as I get her. Is it necessary to install wind shield protection film, as few are experiencing cracks so often. Apologies if this has been already discussed in this forum. My sales guy is suggesting an imported film from US - stek dynoflex. I had a bad experience with 3M film in my BMW as it reduced the night time visibility. Thanks for your opinions
BTW, this is my configuration which I worked out for my road and climatic conditions

One thing I recommend if it’s available to you is some kind of tire shop hazard insurance. I paid about 200 usd for all 4 tires that came with my T at a local tire shop. I live in New Jersey & New York US where roads can be extremely poor due to salts sprayed on roads for snow/ice. Easy to get tire damage including tears, bubbles, etc. Fortunately, nothing major yet on my T but my Michelins already got 2 flats in 3K miles. Love these tires but things easily get embedded in them. So with patch fix including rebalance, I’ve already recaptured more than half insurance cost in just flat repair costs. My shop gives tire lifetime free flat repairs. That may be something u want to consider.
BTW, I noticed u got PDK. Is a manual transmission not offered in India like China?
Thanks@ Burning brakes.
I already insured for tyres and alloys along with windshield 😎
Only 2 Ts with PDK were allotted for India on the month of June. I couldn’t wait much longer for a manual one. Also, thanks to Bumper to Bumper traffic, I happily accepted the PDK.

The T has finally made its way to the dealer. It arrived at port on Tuesday and I was expecting it to stay there for a week or two and then 4 days later TYD updates me it’s at the dealer (skipped the delivery update). I’m hoping to pick it up next weekend!

3 - I dare you.
Interior photos and a little bit of a messy interior/dirty, I just put on my winter tires as well and was tired and didn’t clean the interior before the pictures, daily driver T’s are hard to keep looking factory new
I put my new winter tires on, it looks good with the silver
I did not want to buy new caps so my pops let me use his old gt3 centers from his 04 (he had 2 bent rims from going over track shoulders so many times) and techart ones hahahaaaa

Correct.
Unfortunately there is no extra 12v socket on the 992.
I originally had it spec’ed on my build, but I later became one of those guys that felt it was best that it not be listed on the Monroney sticker. Given what the car cost I, like everyone else can clearly afford the “ashtray” if I later decide that I need it even though I am not a smoker.
