Id be hard pressed to order again. The biggest fear is that the car is damaged since its been sitting a month at Emden and 2 ships have come and left since. Should I be worried?
Originally scheduled for start of production on 5/11. Just confirmed started production today on 5/15. I have a feeling after seeing everyone's delayed shipping schedule that my car will not be on time, but it's nice to see that production has started.

you car is probably fine, just waiting for some part(s) that wasn’t available. From personal experience, it’s when the car waits at the destination port, then it’s more likely that it got damaged in transit. My last Porsche was on SFL Composer that had a bunch of cars damaged in transit. It was in the port for 4 weeks while they were assessing damages. no info was shared at all, until one day I got a notification that it arrived at the dealership. That was a very stressful month haha.

you should put it down before you get out of the car. i was parking with FAL up, and was told (and read) that you shouldn't be storing it up.
(maybe you did put it down before heading into your house, but no one really every told me to not store it in the up position when i took delivery -- but some research said you shouldn't.)

Update: I spoke with my SA a few min ago, it’s starting to feel like my GTS did not get onto Siem Confucius.
For reference my GTS has been in Emden since 4/26 (16 days prior to Siem Confucius arriving).
TYD has not moved to Step 8, which I was hoping to see today. I asked my SA if he could check if he has other cars on Siem Confucius, and unfortunately he told me that he’s showing he has 2 Macans on that vessel (meaning he is getting updates for cars on that ship, but there is no update on mine).
I guess I’ll keep my fingers crossed that my car just hasn’t updated yet, but the reality is that my car is probably still sitting in Emden.
It would still be great to know if any of you that were hoping to be on Siem Confucius have had an update on TYD to show that your car made it onto the ship.

My TYD updated within days of leaving on Glovia Superior. If yours doesn't update in the next day or so you probably are not on it. FYI 16 days is not the norm cars are sitting in Emden before getting on a boat. It is "normally" much longer than that (double).

I had a 2023 Spyder that sat in Eden for months last year, it actually rolled into this year and I didn't get the car until early February. I know how you feel it made me absolutely crazy to see the ships come and go and my car that I originally got on a "list" for in 2020 sit at the departure port. I thought it would never arrive and was sure it somehow got forgotten about off in a corner someplace. It arrived in February and it was worth the wait and the car was perfect. As frustrating as it was once I got the car all was forgotten and I've already ordered another car!
Well, it finally updated today. Pushed out about 5 weeks.

The SC dude is still optimistic that the car will arrive to them in houston in early June.
I am very doubtful. But yes there are 2-3 ships heading to houston, latest comes per the VW schedule on 6/14

I feel your pain. My GTS after sitting in production for over 9 weeks made Emden on 4/26. However my TYD updated to say it is not forecasted to leave Emden until 5/22 so i am assuming I missed the boat.
