According to the latest vessel schedule (posted further above) the Glovis Cougar is scheduled to arrive in San Diego on June 5.

Anyone aware of any ways to check into delays at ports of entry? I have a GT3 Touring that came into the Benecia, CA port on 4/3 and is still there. Originally the delivery date was 4/28. A week ago, it changed to 5/22... not far off. Yesterday though, it then updated to 6/19. So if that is right, it has been there for 6 weeks, and will be there for 6 weeks more. The dealership really has no insight into whats going on, and just sees that its marked as waiting for a transport to pick it up.

They might be fixing damage that may have happened to your car during transport.

Hopefully not... that would be really disappointing.

From scrolling up in this thread, I did see people emailing customer support, so reached out to that email address to see if they had any info.

You’ll never know. They’ll never tell you about it, and they’ll fix it like nothing ever happened.

There are many articles online and videos in YouTube that discuss this. Some videos even show you the kind of damage that cars receive during transit. It can be quite small stuff, but can also be major body damage. The longer they keep the car at port of arrival, the bigger the damage probably is. Or awaiting parts.

Anyone have a recent experience with the length of time cars are waiting in the port of Houston? My car is on the SFL Conductor which docks in Houston in about 1 hour. Arrival is one day earlier than TYD indicates, so keeping my fingers crossed that my luck continues, and there's no damage from shipping or other delays.

My luck ran out in Houston. Most steps were ahead or on time in the TYD. Once it got to Houston it all went to hell. 18 day delay. It just sat there after it cleared. My SA had no explanation or anything he could do to help. It made up a few days arriving once it got out of there but Houston was the worst part of the TYD experience. Good luck!

I sat in Houston for 9 days. Arrived on Siem Cicero. Left on a transport truck this past Monday and has made 2 stops so far. I think 1 more dealer stop before my getting to my dealer late Wednesday (5/17) but we’ll see…..

Default Last two pictures received today

I just got my last two pictures this morning. Car is completed, but status has not yet updated (still showing on step 04). Car should be going to the German port today according to the latest schedule (dates were moved a week ahead yesterday).

I got Pirellis. Which are the good ones?

Many people prefer Michelins because they are quieter and handle really, really well. Pirellis will be just fine. Instead of getting a “10” you (me too) got a “8.5”.

My car was completed yesterday; 2 days behind the original schedule. I got all 4 pictures. The car is coming with Pirellis.

Thanks! What's the full name, model and spec of the Michelins (for reference when it's time to change them)? My car is a C2S coupe.

The “lucky” ones got Michelins while the rest of us got either Goodyear Eagle F1’s (like me) or Pirellli P Zeros (like General). There is no real discernible rhyme or reason as to who got which and why, but if you’re interested to nerd out on the tire question, here is a thread that I started on this topic with a bunch of us sharing what we got: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1343...e-factory.html

For those that are at the Emden port or will be at the Port in next few days, heading towards houston, the first closest one is sunshine ace, arriving to emden on 5/23, with departure estimated 5/26 and arriving houston 6/14.
My TYD & VW group schedule says i am on SFL conductor, all the way to exit emden on june 16th and houston arrival on July 6th.

Hoping to catch a ride earlier on Sunshine Ace and gets some much needed SUNSHINE !!
