This is my 5th Porsche but my first build so I’m super psyched to get this bad boy out on the road next month!
i was really torn between Gentian and AG! Looks beautiful. There will hopefully be a Turbo in my future.

thoughts? Where can I track ESD/ETA of my car?

When mine has disappeared, I have found a few ways to get it back.

1. In My Porsche, click the "Add Vehicle" button and it should allow you to add a vehicle via commission number. You should only have to do this once initially. After that it only allows adding via VIN.
2. Go to the link "https://my.porsche.com/core/us/en_US/track-your-dream/USMGXXXXX" where XXXXX is your commission number
3. If you ever got a track your dream email notification, click on the link from that email.

Hopefully one of those works for you.

Default GTS

I paid a deposit for a 911 Carrera 4 GTS and now awaiting confirmation from Porsche. Dealer said that there is a production slot in June and the vehicle should be ready in August.

What is the change freeze point? Is it the point after which no change can be made? Until that time anything can be changed?

I ordered Agate Grey but I’m really considering GT silver now or one of special colours.

Also really want Aero Kit but so far dealer said it’s not possible to order…

Yes, once you hit the change freeze point no changes can be made. Any change made to your order after the change freeze will likely result in production delays.

My dealer advised me not to make any changes leading up to the freeze point, he said it would most likely cause delays even though you are making the change before the freeze point.

I wasn’t worried since I was confident in my build, but I just saw someone on here a couple of days ago that made a change before the freeze point, and production was delayed a couple of months. Risky game unless you really can’t live with the build you submitted, or you don’t care how long it takes to get your car.

GT Silver is awesome, that’s what my GTS which will be built is a couple of weeks will be - but it’s all a personal preference - get what your gut tells you to get.

Any changes at all? In other words, the dealer told you to stay with what you had for the demand order - and make no changes to that? That seems excessive. That means everyone who orders, has to get it perfect for the demand order.

I think the issue is any change you make "could" impact part availability, etc. What I was told was that if I made a last minute change, it wouldn't necessarily be an issue but there was no guarantee it wouldn't create an issue. I suspect SA's are just careful because they have probably seen it happen and customers getting angry so they warn in advance just in case. I suppose a change could also speed things up if you removed an option that might have been an issue for them to get.

Check with your SA. Based on what I’ve read here, (1) your freeze date may get shortened by a week, so try to get your build dialed in 1-2 weeks before your stated freeze date, and (2) some items can delay your order, sometimes by months, and these items change from time to time based on parts shortages. If you read this thread for the last month, you’ll see what I mean. One member posted a table of options with their corresponding delay — I think that was 3 weeks ago-ish.

Yup it was me, freeze point was moved almost 2 months with a change 2 weeks prior to the freeze point. I asked my SA if the pushback was due to any options, apparently it was not. Set your build early and try not to change it. My change was significant, decided to change interior from GTS pack to Truffle brown.

Personally, there was no chance that I was making a change after I got my demand in. It was a year of waiting just to get to that point. After having a year to chew on it before I could get my order in, I knew without a doubt what I wanted in my car.
