Thanks for the dose of reality. TYD has been all over the place for me so I’m just wondering if it might be slow to update. After a couple delays, a few days ago before it even completed production, it was showing it’d complete production 6/1, leave Emden 6/10 and get to dealer in SoCal 7/14. On 5/31, it suddenly completed production, made it to Emden 6/1 (according to my dealer; TYD updated 6/2) and all the dates on TYD changed to track the Glovis Sigma schedule (leaving Emden 6/2 and getting to dealer by 7/5). So I’d be shocked if it didn’t make it to Glovis Sigma.
Has anyone had a delay of more than a day between the ship leaving with your car and TYD updating to show that happened? I thought I even read TYD didn’t update yet people surprisingly got a call that the car showed up at the destination port through a call from the dealer!
Mine updated the same morning the ship left Emden.

My sense is that these are just placeholder dates, not tied to the ship schedule or whichever ship your car is actually booked on. My car made it to Emden on 6/1 but missed the Glovis Sigma that departed on 6/2 despite the TYD dates I posted earlier that seemed to line up with it.
Hoping to make the Glovis Sunlight in a few weeks!
My car completed manufacturing on 5/23 and arrived at the port on 5/25. No updates to TYD since then (still shows it scheduled to leave the port on 5/26 but that hasn't happened yet), no fourth production picture, no model car, no emails. I'm starting to take it personally.
I am in the same boat, No model car, car arrived at the port on the 25th. Not a word since.
Yeah, I have never received an email from TYD either for any step.
Maybe they withhold emails for people they know refresh TYD 100 times a day. Lol.
I think it is the refresh! LOL. I reached out to PCNA a while back, no response on the lack of emails. Called them and 2 reps didn’t know what I was talking about. Sent additional emails in, thinking I’m on their sh!tlist already.

What do your TYD dates look like now? Did they get pushed back?
Mine still haven’t updated and show leaving Emden 6/2.

My TYD dates haven’t updated either; I expect them to be pushed out by a month or so in the next few days. I don’t think TYD date estimates have any connection to shipping schedules or ship assignments. Hoping to get on the Glovis Sunlight due in Emden 6/26 though.

I was expecting the dates to push back after missing the last ship. However, the dates never changed. Leaving port still shows as 5/23 for me. There are few others who missed the same boat who also have the same thing.
I have a theory. I'm thinking that if your date doesn’t change, the car is in a queue waiting to get on a boat. If the date is updated and pushed back, car is waiting for part(s).

I don’t think that’s the case. My car arrived in Emden on 5/8 with a ship date of 5/9. Then about a week went by before it updated to 6/16. Then about 10 days and it updated to 5/25 (and was on a boat).
I guess I don’t know for sure that it wasn’t missing a part, but I don’t have any reason to believe it was. It seemed to go through the build process normal and I don’t think there were any other Houston boats I was in Emden for and missed. I think Sunshine Ace (the one I’m on) was just the next boat.

My theory is that the ship date doesn’t really mean anything, or if it does, we’ll never know.
It seems like it always starts at one day after arrival, which almost never actually happens because it depends on ship schedules.
And then sometimes it’s pushed out when the date passes and sometimes it’s not. And then if the new date passes, maybe it gets pushed out again.
And then, suddenly, you’re on a boat.
I’m just glad I’m on a boat, but that doesn’t mean I’m out of the woods yet. I had a car 2 years ago delayed at Houston port for 3 weeks. Not much I can do but wait.
I’ve heard of cars waiting for parts at port of arrival. Not sure why Porsche would release a car from the factory (where they have all the tools and expertise to assemble the cars) with a missing part to be installed at port of departure. Port of arrival makes sense because there they have a workshop with expert technicians to repair anything that may happen to the cars during transport. There’s no need for them to also invest in a workshop at port of departure.
