Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
Phil, Yes, i guess luck of the draw and destination, others I'm sure will comment. Mine got to the port on 5/28 and departed 6/17. The boat tracker says my ship is taking a straight shot to the Panama canal, then I'm sure up the West Coast as mine lands in the SF area and then gets trucked to the LA Center. Good luck!! Mike

Keep your head up, mine did same, but my delivery was consistently ahead of the estimates. they seem to have a well oiled machine of late, i know there have been some horror stories but from what i have experienced its been good.

my car is almost here and i was curious as to which tires i had. On the app the quality isn't that good but i pulled up the picture on the computer and its high quality, and it seems like i won the tire lottery!

Don't like dark wheels. Powder coating gun metal or bright silver. Thoughts?

I'm no software engineer or programmer but I followed the steps mentioned earlier in this thread, goes something like this. I use chrome as my web browser.
1. Log in to your porsche account.
2. Bring up your TYD page and click it and now you're at "On its way: Your 911 ..."
3. Right click anywhere on this page and select "Inspect" then columns will pop up to the right side where you'll see the source codes for this page.
4. Go to the top of this column find "Network" and click on it.
5. Refresh the web page you're currently on.
6. Source codes will load up again, now with hundreds of lines of items.
7. Once everything loads up, go to the filter section located near the top of the columns and type "api.porsche" this narrows down the lines we're looking for.
8. Click the line that has your commission number in it. Should look like "USMxxxxxx", file type has to be xhr and not preflight.
9. Look for line that says "currentLocation" and if your car is loaded on to one then it should say "path_vessel" and under that line should read "ident" followed by IMO_###### <--- this is your boat's ID. Copy the numeric only.
10. Go to vesselfinder.com and paste the numbers and you'll see the boat that you're on and semi-real time track its course.

Not quite out of the waiting room but car has arrived at the dealership. Less than two months from deposit, getting to spec how I wanted although it was 12 days past Freeze date, and SA kept me posted throughout each step w/o me having to call him. Feel pretty luck!

Congratulations. I noticed the notes on the car seat stating "to not drill the back plates". How are you going about attaching the back plates?

I missed out on Aventurine too! Like the silver wheels much better than satin black centerlocks. Was talked into it by my advisor who said you have to since it's a GTS. Succumbed to him
