My order creation date was July 17th, 2021. Since I'm in Canada, I had to e-mail my SA to find out the estimated freeze date.
SA replies: "I think we are still able to add-on options by Oct 15th."
That's almost 3 whole months! Is it just me, or are the delays getting worse?

Freeze date officially hit this morning. Finally! I know it's technically meaningless but it gives me hope that the date changes we all experienced after the factory reopened may be realistic. 🤞and I'm going to enjoy the excitement for a bit 😁

😆 or do I now agonize more because I'm stuck with them! Oh indecision will you never leave me! Actually, I've been rock solid on my choices for months and can't wait. I just hope all our timelines pan out and we start getting some cars delivered. Good luck all.

I am in Europe and these are the dates I got so far, in case it is helpful for any of you guys:
- Order placed (w/ allocation) - mid June
- Received v200 - Sept 17
- Lock date - 23/11/21
- Production expected week thereafter
- Date scheduled for delivery at dealer 28/1/22
SA told me the above may vary and might be produced earlier.
SA has no visibility on missing parts / components for Dec production cars

TYD more like smash your dreams.
If I check the sate for the step "Scheduled for Production" it says "Estimated Date of Milestone Completion: 09/17/2021". This step is not yet completed but also has not been pushed to a new date, since its now 9/20, what should I expect?
The "Start Production" step estimate is 10/1 so I'm assuming once the above step is done, the "Start Production" date firms up?
The dates have already been pushed by a couple of weeks once.

I guess I should feel lucky. There are not any Targa allocations to be had anywhere, and mine is already built. Nick Murray says he's hearing from his sources that there may be zero Targa allocations in 2022. And he also said today that there have only been 1800 911 models (all variants) delivered to North America in all of 2021. Average delivery is 1000 - 1200 per month!
I have no intention to sell my Targa 4 once it hits my garage in November. But I wonder what I'll be able to get for it next Spring. A local dealer has already told me that I decide I don't want it anymore, he'll take it off my hands for what I paid, plus sunk costs (title and sales tax) plus a little extra. Folks, I don't see the production and supply issues getting better for a long time.

RCC Prestige and SFL conductor just docked at Emden.
Bishu looks like it is hitting Baltimore and Houston.
Any thoughts as to whether one of these hits Jax and the other hits San Diego?

Someone posted a spreadsheet which listed the shipping details for the next 6 weeks. RCC Prestige will stop in Baltimore and Houston. SFL Conductor will stop in Canada, Rhode Island and Houston. Siem Aristotle is the ship which stops in Jacksonville but on week 41.

Also, Porsche doesn't build any cars in "small batches" unless it is a 918 or something. Targas can be built inter-mixed with every other trim of 911s and 718s (all of Porsche's sports cars go down the same production line in Zuffenhausen). There might be Targa specific part constraints that are causing allocation issues though.
