Traveling for Thanksgiving - Staying at the Marriott which overlooks Porsche Burlington, MA. Looked out and watched the Covered Car Carrier unload a number of new cars.
Plus I got notification that my 992 was delivered today to my dealership. Happy days are ahead.

Excited to see this soon!
992 S Manual with a few modest options..
The car was loaded on the vessel in Emden on 11/8/21 and is expected to arrive at the end of December in Benicia, Ca
Trackyourdreams says that it is on the RCC Classic which shows direct route from Europe through the Panama canal to the Bay Area. However tracking the vessel it shows that it is headed to Freeport in Texas. Is this normal?
wondering if this will cause a further delay...

Hey Folks! Quick question for you Porsche veterans: I bought the wheel insurance for my 2016 Golf R, and it worked out great. Had to replace two wheels within two or three years. I can’t help but wondering if the VW wheels are just not as durable as those on the 911. Hoping I could skip this expense at time of purchase, but am interesting in this group’s experience with Porsche and wheel insurance. Is it worth it, and are the wheels really any different in terms of durability? Thanks, in advance, for you perspective.

Just ordered a 2022 911 GTS here in Tokyo last week. First Porsche, first sports car since college, and I think the anticipation might do me in. Largest dealer in Japan told me "officially" the wait is 12-18 months, but "unofficially" said it should be closer to 9-12 months. Oddly, he suggested I opt for standard audio instead of Bose to shave a couple months off. Friend of mine ordered a Taycan Turbo S with every option and was told March/April delivery - assume EVs are getting prioritized here.

All set up, thanks for the help. Should be done and out of production tomorrow...unless they're celebrating turkey day and are hungover.

The running-in period, according to the 2022 manual, is 3000km/1875 miles... keeping the RMP to a max of 4000 for the most part. There is some other guidance in there too but that is the time frame according to the manual.
