My dates changed many times and I got lucky in that my time from production completion to on a vessel at Emden was extremely short. I can't remember how long it was but there were no delays. It basically went right to Emden and was on a boat within a couple of days.

Mine car has been sitting at Houston port since 8/20. When it got there, ETA at dealer date was 9/10. Then it changed to 10/1. My dealer had a bunch of cars arrive unexpectedly yesterday and thinks mine will show up very soon. Expected delivery next week as they have been told by Porsche that a bunch of TPMS modules (that's what the holdup has been on mine) are in route to them. So the cars are being sent..
My dealer said the same about the TPMS. Rather than waiting at the port they will install at the dealer. No hurry but would have been nice to get the car before thanksgiving.

I am lucky that the "start production" started early! Originally set to "start" on 9/24 (yes, I know that is a place holder for end of the week of occurrence), my TYD updated on 9/17 to show "started" as the 17th. I guess something occurred as I now have a VIN#. At this point I hope to see the "finished production" date of 10/1 updated on Friday to 9/24. I am really crossing my fingers that car gets to port and catches a ride on the Siem Aristotle due out the week of 10/4 for JAX (entry port for PEC Atlanta deliveries). The current "On Vessel" date shows 10/22.

The email from PCNA for my PEC Atlanta delivery said the tentative window is early to mid December but this won't be determined until its on a ship. I live in Atlanta but the ordering dealer is in IL.

If my car somehow makes the earlier ship, I don't know if I can wait 4-6 weeks knowing my car is nearby instead of in my garage. Contemplating scrapping PEC delivery and I guess they will deliver to the dealer in IL if done before ship loading. Then I will have to arrange transport south. This also puts it through a different port and possibly different shipping schedule.

What happens if you cancel a PEC delivery a couple of weeks out from a confirmed date? Do they ship from JAX to the ordering dealer?

At least I can now use the VIN to find out just how expensive my insurance will be thanks to my recent tickets.

I might not received pics of my incoming 992 like the rest of you lucky folks, Thus, today, my SA provided me with my incoming 992's VIN# and it popped up under 'My Vehicles" in TYD.

I am just slightly closer to realizing this might all be coming to fruition real soon.
Cheers!

Just came back from the SA this afternoon. My C4S order was created back in July 17th, and I just made some final configuration changes.

Since I'm in Canada, I can only see these estimated dates if I ask my SA. Well today I went in and took a picture of the screen he showed me. You can't see it on the screenshot here, but the estimated arrival date at dealership is January 8th, 2022. I was told that these dates will likely shift depending on logistics and weather conditions. However, I thought it was nice to just get a bunch of expected dates regardless.

Similar here. I went from 1/4 to 2/4 on 8/14 when my freeze date was 9/10. My freeze date has pushed 3 times since and is now 10/1. Seems “scheduled for production “ has little impact to the actual production start milestone.

Default There she is

Well I must say the whole process was fairly smooth, order created late June, and the car just arrived at the dealership in NY, it was stuck at the port of Davisville for about a month. Was missing TPMS, for some reason they decided to release the car without it. So the part is arriving by EOW. Which is fine as I’m about to do a full PPF wrap.

isn’t she lovely? More like a beast

Preferred manner of awaiting allocation being assigned? Bug SA or just wait, I'm only 1 month out from order date.

My 992 is finally arriving in a week or two.
Now, after reading a lot of posts on the forum, I regret not adding Front Axle Lift and ACC options for my build (live in Chicago and often drive through heavy traffic).
My Porsche BA said I can cancel my current order and re-order with configuration I want but delivery time would be as late as mid 2022.
Has anyone placed a new order lately? What's the realistic timeline nowadays that others have seen?
He also said that I can take this delivery and place a new order. When the new order comes in next year, I can trade it in for a very minimal value loss since current market demand is very very high with shortage on supply.
