My status is “in transit” to Emden for a week. The TYD dates they have for me don’t make sense. Says 10/1 for delivery at PEC ATL and 10/1 for departure from Emden.
Mine finished production on 9/8.
Looks like we will be on the same schedule, mine was 9/9 production complete 9/10 and saying now ready for transport with 10/1 on vessel and 10/29 arrive at PEC ATL. so if all goes well ours should arrive the same time
TYD can be all over the place. My Targa 4 (PEC-LA delivery) was finished with production on 8/24. It was en route to Emden on 8/27. The due date for arrival in Emden was 8/27. But it still has not arrived, per TYD. And it's not supposed to get on a boat until 10/8. How is it not showing in Emden yet? Why is it not getting on a ship for 6 weeks post-production? I'm all for being patient, but it's hard when I've had to deal with chip-related delays, production line shutting down for August vacation, and now, perhaps, the Ferris Bueller valet drivers cruising around Europe in my ride!
From what I have read a lot of peoples TYD never update and will even still show stage 2 and actually arrive at dealership for delivery or say its at Emden port. I imagine yours is at Emden already if not already on a ship. Hopefully yours just hasn't updated via TYD. Its strange I couldn't get a definite answer on my production timeline from Porsche Euro Delivery and dealer because they had no idea when mine would begin and as soon as I officially accepted the PEC ATL delivery instead of ED I had a VIN all of the sudden and a few days later saying its been in production.
I'm making myself an official waiting room member because I put my order demand in today! So, yes, I realize I have a long way to go - it's just an order demand - but I've officially taken the first step. Some things I learned at the dealership, because it didn't all go smoothly:
They told me that they have an allocation available right now, I could have taken it . . . except they want a $15k ADM which is a non-starter for me because, after all, it's just a base C2. On my build that would have amounted to a 12.5% surcharge - Homie Don't Play That! I was a little disappointed to hear that, but that's what the dealership wants.
I was firm and told them that I would rather wait for a December allocation and I only want to pay MSRP - no moving off that number. I also told them that I'm realistic about the production timelines and I wanted a December allocation with what should end up being a Summer 2022 delivery. That seemed to go over better and they were willing to do the order demand and "see what we can do about MSRP"
Mind you, this is the same dealership that has a lightly optioned C2 (113K) that they're asking 128k for (again, 15K). So, I'm not excited about this practice, but I do think they were sincere about getting me in for December at MSRP
It's possible that I will continue to call around and get other order demands started. It can't be every dealership out there charging 15K. Regardless, I've officially committed to the process and I'll be in the waiting room with the rest of you . . .
your car finished prodiction on 9/8 and is at port already?
Man... I really hope my TYD is what's f'd up. Still not showing as arrived at port. This is just annoying me now.
Its TYD on the fritz.
On 9/8 when my car completed production, TYD popped up with the message my car is ready for delivery please contact dealer.
I was SOOOOO happy even though in my mind knowing the car cannot be at the dealer. I called the dealer's GSM right on the dot at 9am the next morning and sure enough it's TYD on fritz.
Like you, and everyone in this room, I am counting the days.
wow. It looks like I'm about to be two weeks ahead of schedule based on the initial completion date from June. TYD shows my car in Emden but when I click on the vessel milestone it lists the ship Bishu Highway already.
eeeesh.. now my TYD got another delay in the schedule. Since my car is still not in the port, estimated On Vessel date got moved back from 9/27 (originally was 8/27) to 10/8. Kinda depressing when i'm seeing people whose cars were built a month+ after mine getting a boat before me. Sigh.
Congratulations to you all that have new 992s in transit to the dealer.
I ordered my 992S on 17 March of this year and delivery has been delayed over half a dozen times. Delivery is now not expected until late November---good grief!

I wouldnt be surprised if your build is on the Siem Confucius and the TYD simply did not update as it should have. My build is going to Jax as well and has very similar Emden transit dates as yours.
