Only potential regret for me is the 4-way vs 18-way.
Congrats on yours too. Looks great!

Default Delivery, who knows

New carb emission approvals for August 27 - NO 992s, NO PORSCHES
Some of the promised dates should slip. And then there is the driveshaft/axle recall.
Patience is thin.

I checked in CARB website this morning and no news. But you are right - updated this evening with dozens of manufacturers/vehicles but nothing for Porsche. My car was built in March and has been sitting at the port in Rhode Island for FOUR MONTHS now and I am getting a bit fed up...

Siem Cicero departs Jacksonville on way to Houston... arrives Aug 31. My SA is telling me car should be available for delivery by September 7...
Has anyone else heard any news about cars being released from Houston port yet?... supposedly many waiting there

Those bumperettes are causing concern?....you should have been around in 2000 when all of our Turbos showed up in the USA with surprise front bumperettes...now those are bad. These are tucked into the recess.

Hi sik_sd,

my build is almost the same as yours..... just a 4S and some small interior differences.

Ha, that does sound bad, especially if they were a surprise!

But not a concern, no. Wish they weren't there at all? Yes. Still looking forward to this car with every fiber of my being? Heck yes.

For those of you with cars in port in Jacksonville, have you heard anything from your dealership or Porsche North America about plans to relocate cars ahead of the forecast of a category 2 or 3 hurricane coming ashore in this area over the holiday weekend? After all the drama of ordering, watching and waiting, I'm scared ****less about the possibility of flooded cars. Blount Island where the RoRo ships load and unload sits right in the middle of the St. John's river and has to be at high risk of storm impact.

I emailed PNA earlier today and haven't heard anything back, but given the location of ports in Jacksonville and Houston, they must have encountered this before. I hope I'm needlessly nervous and need someone to calm me down before I run out of Bourbon.

Removal of the cars from this lot before they are emissions compliant needs to be either permanent from the US or carries a fine of up to $10K per vehicle that reaches public property even if it is only on a car hauler.

This makes protection of vehicles on site or not storing vehicles without an emissions certificate a business imperative.

These cars have "wet mode." A storm shouldn't matter.

Can't wait for the car. Already sold my 991 C2 and I'm missing having a 911 in my life.

I ordered Aug 1. My scheduled delivery is Nov. 1.. so I'm seemingly on track with with your schedule minus a couple of weeks. I never received an email re: Track Your Dream. Should I have gotten this?

I ordered mine in January and the first update I got was yesterday — received a text from a random number saying my car will be here soon and I need to schedule my PEC time/date.
