I have to wait until it gets to Jacksonville.

Should have gone V300 today-20 days early. Was going to take ED mid February, but can't make the timing work with my travel schedule. Like coming to Pittsburgh in early-mid February. 20/21 Carerra rims with Michelin snows waiting at the dealer...can't wait.
Sold my 2005 S Cab with 82,000 miles on it to my wife's cousin. So I'm Porscheless until then.

My last few cars have been 2 seaters (Aston Martin Vantage x 2 and Audi R8). But, I was getting tired of not being able to take my daughter and my wife in the car at the same time. So, I decided to start looking at 2+2's to replace my R8 when the lease ends in Aug 2020. Last week, I was on the Porsche website toying with hypothetical builds. I decided to call a friend that works at a Porsche dealer to see about options for ordering a 992 coupe. I was reluctant because I've heard that Porsche leases weren't particularly favorable (my AM and Audi lease have all been in the $1400-1500 / mo range). I was hoping to get something the the same ballpark. After a few emails, I have ordered a 992 Coupe in the Feb 2020 allocation for May 2020 delivery. Even though I'll have 3 months of overlapping lease payments, I'm excited to get back into a Porsche (previously had 2002 C4Cab and 2007 C2S).

Default Finally!!!

I’m on my way to pick up my 992 order today. The car sat at the Benecia port for two weeks before it was released and delivered to the dealership.
my order is a CWM C2s and can’t wait to sit in it and drive it. I’ve been a little worried that the white would be kinda blah but the more I think about it the more excited I am to get my hands on it!
I’m suppose to be getting a 4% discount, has anyone seen better? I would like to get it down lower if possible.
thanks guys!! I’ll keep you posted on the deal!

Congrats
Post some pics.
Discount ranges anywhere from 0-10% but 5% is a sweet spot Good luck.

Congratulations! And if I were you, I would refrain from requesting a better discount. If 4% was negotiated and accepted when the car was allocated.. then I’d shake your SA’s hand and drive off a happy man. Enjoy

Got word my 911 4S is scheduled to arrive at my dealership on Thursday.

Placed my order on 10/22 and was originally told to expect it in February/March so definitely a pleasant surprise it's here so early!

Mine is in another ship, and the ETA to USDVV Dec 24th.

Thanks
Apparently my car is scheduled to be released by February 14th, 2020 due to EPA Certifications... =\.. it seems none of the base model 911s have the EPA Certifications.

Once EPA Certifies the car, it’ll be released for transport which takes another 7~ days then another 1-3 for PDI according to my SA and Porsche Customer Service.

I was told a couple weeks ago that the "on sale date" for the base Carrera was moved from the end of January to February 14th. I think my Base is already sitting at the docks in CA. EPA seems to be giving Porsche and VW a little payback still for diesel gate.

Sigh... If your theory is true, that EPA is giving them a payback... I've never had anything against the EPA til now...

Mine is sitting at the Jacksonville port for last 10 days. It came in the Siem Cicero Ro-Ro. I would have thought that Porsche should have sent a few base Carreras ahead of time so that the EPA could toy with it all they wanted. Does anyone knows if all base Carreras have to wait for the CARB (California) approval -regardless of state being delivered at-to being released from all ports?
I've always have bought vehicles of the showroom and this wait is driving me crazy! I check the "track your dream" daily. I must be OCD lol!

To be clear, US C2S and C4S buyers had the same wait as the Base buyers. Our cars were supposed to be in our hands in June, but due to the EPA, many of us had to wait until the end of September/October before getting them -- some folks were still waiting until very recently. You'll totally forget the wait when you finally get your car.
