He might need to dig it up--I'm not sure it's that hard, seems like it's a <5-minute exercise, but maybe he's swamped today. I wouldn't worry unless he can't produce it, in which case I'd escalate to the sales manager.

that’s exactly what that means.... he prob doesn’t have one... takes 1 min to login unless they haven’t entered ur build in the system yet or ur not v200... meaning u put a deposit on a future allocation

That's exactly it. I always ask the SA what the build date will be for the car when putting down a deposit. Too many times, dealers take your deposit and slot you into an allocation months down the road.

This is why I usually end up directly communicating with the sales manager. It's just easier and more efficient that way. Every dealer is different, though.
But agree - I would demand an v200 print out ASAP. It's quite possible that he put a deposit on a V070 demand order. Printing out a build sheet is not complicated.

Exactly. A proper dealer won’t take your deposit until they can confirm your allocation. Some dealers just take it to put you in the queue.

Or the SA doesn't have access to the sales side and the sales manager is busy and/or the SA is off that day.

Im still curious if I do get a real allocation or bogus one.

If you've been given a commission number. You should be set.
