Yes, they built the 997.1 C2 and C2S while the C4, C4S and Turbo's were still 996s. This went on in 2005.

- V260 "Entry Body Shop" 21 July
- V270 "Exit Production" 26 July
- V280 "Entry CT-Assembly" 26 July
- v290 "Exit CT-Assembly" 05 Sep
Since then...no movement. Dealer and TYD shows V300 "Vehicle Completion" as 29 September. At this point, I believe nothing from Porsche and my dealer hasn't pushed in any of the four delays i've experienced to get info once. My allocation was a 2023 allocation car to be built Mar 2023 and delivered May 2023. Just a waiting game without even so much as a we are sorry your NON CXX, NON PTS car continues to get pushed back while we send other RS's to other dealers and countries. Yet we say thank you and may I have another! Oh well, there are real problems out there and this isn't one of them.

The Pista is a great daily driver but on track it needs bucket seats + better brakes/pads as mentioned by the other person. We sold our Pista for a 765LT and I never looked back. The 765 is a monster.

The Pista would be a fun weekend car that I'd take to the track a few times a year, the GT4RS will see the majority of the track duty.

Martin's ridden right seat with me in my old Viper ACR-X and knows how I drive, and I know how Martin drives.
The pista on track: is not that light, is really really fast, and literally will experience brake fluid boil/ pad fade.
The brakes are the single weak link on that car- the power is relentless, it's the first Ferrari with 'great' steering. But just as you start to get confident the brakes and tires are getting overheated...which will lead to squiggly corner entry, a lot of corrections, the rear pads grabbing as traction/ESC assist kicks in etc.
Classic ICE MODE. It will happen if you're driving for a lap time.

Sorry to hear the process has been delayed. That’s frustrating when you’re waiting for something so highly anticipated, but it will be amazing when it eventually arrives!

So the question is, do pads, brake lines, and fluid fix the problem or does a full rotor upgrade need to be done?
