GT3RS Allocation Thread
#1831
Interesting - just noticed your car has the Black Side Decal and Door Sills already installed at this point. Just looked back at my pic from TYD (car hits dealer Oct 23rd) and I have neither the Side Decal (Silver) or Door Sills (did Exclusive). I get why the door sill isn't installed yet as it clearly shows "CT - einstiegsleiste" but no idea why they didn't do the side decals yet. Porsche, just when you think you know what/how they do things, they change on you.
My same shot from TYD...
Notice NO Side Decals yet (will be Silver) and NO doorsills (lighted with "BORN IN FLACHT") - the "CT-einstiegsleiste" translates to "Custom Tailoring Door Sill".
Done production and was then heading to CT (Custom Tailoring) for all of the Exclusive items... NO CXX.

I felt the same way when the production photos for my 4RS came through. Fingers crossed when my PTS 3RS gets built in January that I get the final photos. Really wanted to do the CXX photo book, but didn't want to risk a schedule hiccup since my builds V215 (locked and all materials ordered).

Right, I've just been told don't touch the spec at this point as PCNA has had a history of delaying orders that get last minute changes.

That said, I have a couple lower priced cosmetic options that can do without but I'm reluctant to delete for reasons you mention.

Just checking- anyone get the allocation received call over the past couple of weeks? This thread said allocations were distributed at the beginning of the month but just wanted to check and see if that’s flowing through this group.

GT allocations typically come once a quarter around early Feb, early May, early Aug, and early Nov so probably a few more weeks before the next batch of allocations get released.

My instincts tell me that is accurate. Also, I’ve heard they will make about 3x as many Spyder RS’s as they are GT4RS’s.

I may or may not get a 991.2 GT3RS allocation but I already got my top 2 GT cars that I wanted at MSRP so I'm good. My GM told me that if I don't get a 992.1 GT3RS allocation that I'll get a 992.2 GT3RS so all good in my book as I have enough toys to keep me busy until then.

[QUOTE=speed77;19056025]pretty sure the 997.2 4.0 RS wasn’t “limited” (though someone could correct me). Was a limited production timeframe and at the time you could easily order one at msrp. Look at where those prices are now. Not saying that 992.1 RS is the equivalent but if you asked 997.2 4.0 buyers back then if they thought their car would be worth 5x they probably would have laughed. Just saying.[/QUOT
You're right about that.

Production stats 991.2 GT3 RS FOR MODEL YEAR 2019.
1462 were produced for US
1111 Has Weissach. Package
Lowest production quarter was last quarter of production (2nd Q) at 160 cars
Top color lizard green 408 or 27% of productions
Highest MSRP $267920
Lowest production numbers no Weissach, no Pccb, 76 cars
As one sorts through the '19 GTSRS ONE CAN FIND some low production cars if that's what you are looking for. 992.2 production will be interesting
