Honestly the worst part is seeing it parked in that awful driveway

Agree. While it appears to be in Miami, think its safe to say the car is worth more than the house its parked in front of. Even if that value is below that absurd asking price....

I typically HATE internet reviews, but frankly the throttle house guys on YouTube do a better job of "top gearing" than Top Gear themselves do/ did.

They haVe no bias and candidly bash each brand when necessary. This is a great point of reference of abilities and just how the car truly shows it's tech in any drivers hands.

I went with ice grey/pyro on my RS. Overall a great combo and really suits the car. The poster’s description of it being a cross between chalk and pearl white is correct. It changes quite a bit depending on ambient lighting. In sunlight it’s ‘ice white’, in shade it’s ‘ice grey’.

Lovely! Even Carrera white on the 3RS is an injustice to the bold nature of the machine.

Looks great, getting the same, but probably with black callipers. The Bumblebee setup from the Throttlehouse review was the close second choice for me. That would be my 4th Porsche (3rd GT3) in launch colours - I guess Porsche designers know what they are doing. It's like "filmmaker" mode on a projector - true to the creator's intent .

Yeah, those yellow calipers with red wheels sort of, um, clash.

Black vs yellow calipers was a toss up for me as I strongly dislike rosso corsa or guards red cars over yellow calipers (McDonald's spec). I ultimately decided that the deeper red anodized finish would work with the yellow calipers - and it does (to my eyes at least). They also create more visual drama than the black ones do - not that the RS is lacking in that department!

allocation locked. I wanted ultraviolet, but for the life of me could not get PTS.

i was on the fence about yellow calipers thinking they might be too busy and decided to opt for black calipers. i’m also considering painting red after delivery…i change my stance on that by the minute, but for now black it is.

Definitely not yellow calipers. Black is safe. Red is definitely my preferred choice. If not available from Porsche, paint them after delivery. Easy to do.

Much praise for the car, but in their hands, 3RS on Cup 2R was only about 1 sec faster than the GT3, which is apparently on Cup 2 (?).

im debating between Ice Grey Metallic vs Artic Grey. Both will be with Pyro Red wheels.

Any opinions on Artic Grey? I have yet to see in the flesh.

The tough thing about track comparisons that aren’t held on the same day is…..well, everything. It’s why the Ring times are more entertainment than science. Just look at how quickly an F1 track evolves over a single day. Track temp, surface cover, rubber deposition, humidity…and then throw in variable wind when aero is involved. The comparison of laps is definitely not apples to apples.

I really like Throttle House but you can hear just how dirty that track is as all the rocks and stones are being thrown up during the laps. That’s a track that probable needs a hundred laps or more just to clean up. I love that it’s bumpy — a better test than a mirror-smooth circuit — but a lot of variability on any given day.

To say nothing of what a set of R compound tires do on two heat cycles versus six or ten.

The only real measurement is: same track, same driver, same day (with consistent conditions) on sticker tires. Anything else and you are throwing 2-3% variation which more than accounts for 1 second over a 67 second lap, or 5-10 seconds over a Ring lap.
