The pads for all non GT3 992's are different than what comes on the 992 GT3. Weirdly enough people are claiming the non GT3 pads don't dust at all. I don't know about performance / judder, nor do I know how hard those cars were actually pushed.

When you’re at your dealer, see if they can bring out some PCCB pads from non-GT3 992 and check the markings on the back. Should say A or B or N followed by 20 or 21.

Looks like fun!
How hard were you driving it and did you experience any juddering / vibration in the brake pedal?

Drove it fairly hard , temps were not on my side most of the trip , but I did get a chance to go hard on 28 , tail of the dragon , Cherohala and diamondback , no judder or vibration , but my hard may not be your definition of hard ! Lol had a chance to meet the guys at Appalachian Driving Experience , Mitch and Kelly were great hosts , and took us to some fantastic roads as well .

Juddering aside (although this is a big deal) does the dust generated by the PCCBs stick to the wheel as easily as from steels?

I am on a driving trip in the Arkansas Ozarks with plenty of spirted driving (which is not close to full out track driving but plenty aggressive). My very good friend who has one of the best detailing/car electronics businesses in Houston is also on the trip. He has brought in a group of local area detailers to clean up our cars daily if desired. He has not seen any differences between 991 generation PCCB's and those on my 992 GT3 with respect to brake dust, and I have experienced no juddering or other issues so far. I have put about 400 miles over the last two days of driving on some challenging roads I am well familiar with from 12 previous years of driving trips.
I totally acknowledge that I may not be using my brakes hard enough to generate any potential issues, but I have not been using them any where close to mildly to say the least.
I have two more days of driving on the trip, and I will report further on my experiences.

Seems like it's possibly a batch of defective pads/rotors, given the mixed reports about PCCB brake judder under varying conditions, including mountain driving and routine suburban driving
And 992TTS has been out for 1yr w/no such complaints, despite similar copper-free pads

Much more workouts yesterday and today. Still no juddering or brake dust. That said, I am not working the brakes as hard as I would on track, but I have done some pretty strong brake applications today.
Just another data point - not trying to claim everything is lovely with the new 2022 pads with less copper.

Was at PEC yesterday speccing CXX on my touring. Personally showed the person who needs to know this thread and owner comments. He personally seemed to be getting right on it and was immediately contacting mothership.

I have the pads. Tomorrow is when I’ll get some garage time to install. The 991 pads are about 1.2mm thicker than the 992 pads. I don’t know if they will fit or not. I’m gonna give it a shot.
the 991 pads are 12mm each including the backing plate and my 992 pads are 10.5Mm.
wondering what the thickness of the rsc1 is. It says 18.5mm on the pagid website for Shape number 4927 but that can’t be the right comparison . Anyone?
