PTS Touring in BRG with PCCB's. Would get rid of them in a sec if they are that dusty. Lets see how this plays out. I don't lock until beginning of year.

Porsche stands to lose $100k on this thread alone. Lol

This thread must be a mistake. I have never seen any ceramic brakes as dusty. Maybe it's a manufacturing defect? If true, very disappointing. That brake dust gets everywhere and causes rust and by everywhere I mean all suspension components, arms, engine area, heat shields, etc. Its very nasty stuff.

It’s not a mistake. It’s really disappointing though!

So... most of the real value of pccb has disappeared with these low copper pads?

The 2021 GT4 wouldn’t use the low copper pads anyway so even if they were the same shape they should not be the same part number.

Why would the 911 use low copper pads and the gt4 not use them?

THIS!

Not sure about the steels, but the PCCB pad change for the GT4 started with model year 2021. I confirmed it.

I would assume it also is true of the steel brakes, as that is when the new legislation went into effect.

Well I believe the California regulation kicks in for cars manufactured after January 1st, 2021, so you’re right that late 2021 model year GT4 should have the same compound (unless there is an exception for Porsche for that entire model year).

This weekend I will pull the pads front and rear from my 992 GT3 and use a caliper to take measurements. From this we can determine both part number and pad shape.

Gents - What cars are you referring to in these posts? 992 GT3 or something else? Just wanting to know if it's apples to apples. Thanks.
