I bet they won't shed a tear if they only get $300K for a $200K car.

The whole market is screwed. I am trying to get an exotic, dealer won't even respond to emails. Everyone is losing their $hit or laughing their way to the bank. Pay tons of money and get treated like poop

a few dealers were flat out spec’ing cars themselves, not even offering the allocation to a customer. Nobody named names, but I’d guess this was one.

I opted to buy a shark blue Boxster GTS and a shark blue GT4 - both at Msrp rather than pay stupid mark up on a GT3. The GT3 really is uncomfortable - I am wrangling to get a 911 GTS cabriolet — a car as fast except in the hands of a pro on a race track and even then zillions of a second slower maybe than a GT3. I am paying the $1,000 stupid money to drive a GT3 at the LA Experience center on March 1st on all their modules just to find out if all the hype is really worth a $100,000 adm.
i would buy a GT3 at msrp instantly today but because I know I can drive it for awhile at no cost and maybe make a little profit over the msrp plus sales tax.
really annoying to pay8.75% sales tax on the $100,000 adm plus another $1,000 in registration fees to the idiots in the state of California government.

interesting, I’m sorry u had a bad experience. I’ve bought 5-6 cars from them in the past few years and have had nothing but good experiences. Their business practices are pretty above board, ie not taking deposits without an actual allocation and their cars are always clean. I would agree this 350k price on the touring is prob not something I would advertise as it invites a lot of bad press, however the market is the market.. and some morons are willing to pay it then it’s honestly an issue with those people. At the end of the day, if u think a dealer is your friend, they aren’t..,they will always act in self interest. I do believe tho that one can develop a relationship with a dealer where both parties give each other the nod.
