I just spoke to my favorite and most trusted SA...it seems they receive allocations for normal cars every month, but GT cars are a separate allocation pool. They just received allocations recently, including some sports cars, but no GTs. I then asked about the next round of GT3s...he doesn't know when those will come, but he believes they'll be Q4 2022 production.

By that logic, if these cars are to be produced in Q4 2022, we'd have to get the allocations sometime April/May, maybe a tad bit later. What I think is adding a bit to the delay, besides the unfortunate situation in Ukraine and the never-ending chip shortage, is PCNA may still be deciding future product and MY23 release dates across the board. It's all such a moving target. I have a feeling that once the configurator switches over to MY23, we'll see another round of GT3s distributed right then. The configurator change will have to happen soon...hopefully before the end of Q2 2022. Keep an eye on the configurator (the URL once you click on a model will mention model year if you go far enough to the right).

He does $50k ADM on Winged and $65k on Touring. If you're in New England / the Tri-State area, are okay with that level of ADM, and want to get on a list understanding that it's not a guarantee but rather a way to increase your chances of being offered a car, you're welcome to PM me, and I'll put you in contact with him. Being local helps, and if you have a nice trade or are looking to buy other cars to daily etc, that also really helps. There's nothing in it for me. I hate this current market, and I hate dealers who don't stick to their word, but thankfully this SA is great, and I'm happy to help passionate car people however I can.

You know what's coming next. All these high ADM payers are going to want a bailout, It will be the "Diminished Value due to Market Forces" bill, when their flips go sour.

It is interesting to see how buyers are wiling to pay $10k-20k when the ADM was $30k to 50k. Now, more are willing to pay $50k when ADM is $50k plus. When Spring hits and cars stop coming, more will be willing to pay $75k when ADM is well over $100k. I wonder what will happen when porsche says, this is it, GT3 is done and we are now producing GT3RS after this date. People will be paying $100k+ ADM on pre-owned? Who knows. I am just noticing a pattern there.

Collectively, we wouldn't mind. They'll think twice when considering their next GT car allocation as a means to profit rather than to enjoy the car

Why not? If Harvard with billions in endowments can get $9 million in Covid relief…go for it if you can get it

I had a word with my SA over the weekend and he said basically the same thing to me. They just got a small allocation of normal cars, but no GT's, which he told me come on an allocation all their own (and previously he had said that the GT winged and GT touring were also seperately allocated). I am in line, next up for a winged car, and am hoping the slot opens before too long. Will post again when I find out anything new. Pretty excited to be here waiting. I called him and got on the list late in 2020 when I first read about the 992 GT3 and made the decision to get in...

Heard that Porche sales reps were down at the Porsche Experience Center in Carson last week for training.
Heard that the topic of "ADM' came up due to a lot of pissed-off customers calling into Corporate.
Heard that they literally had a 2-hour discussion about this in a classroom setting.

Wow word travels fast.
Was a short short discussion, not 2 hours long.
Saw a few excerpts from emails, do’s and Donts, etc.
No biggie.

Don't's: Tell your customer $50k ADM then ask for $100k when car arrives
Do's: Charge ADMs

I’m shocked Corporate cares enough to even train them on this. Because they clearly don’t give a **** about the situation. “Look, the dealers are independent businesses and we’re here helping them **** you over as hard as possible. Happy now ? Lube ? No ? Go buy a bmw”

clearly there is a right way to handle ADM and a wrong way. Hopefully all dealers have integrity with their contracted deals, etc
