Somewhat off topic, but please indulge me:
It's only in the past year that I ever bought a car over $200k, which is something I thought I'd never do (and I wound up buying three such cars, none of which was traded in for something else). Still seems like a lot of money for a car to me, especially since I have cars worth less than $50k which I enjoy nearly as much.
Did you guys have significant psychological barriers to spending over $100k, $150k, $200k, etc. on cars? Or is the pricing all just a continuum to you?

I do like bang for the buck however and am a big Mustang fan because of what you get for the money. In 2016 I had a GT350 and that sounded like a hundred pounding hammers when you really revved it out and it handled great as well. Fit and finish was not good at all but for the price I could overlook it.
Imo Porsches cost too much, but they keep their value really well so that's how I justify it.

You have always been enthusiastic about the GT4, that is perhaps the right balance for your needs.

Peer pressure has a lot to do with this. If you spent less or no time on RL, would you have bought the 3 expensive cars when your comfort zone is at a lower price point and cars you enjoy just as much.

You don’t know much about me (but you seem to think you do), I don’t know anything about you (you refuse to tell), and your unsolicited ‘2 cents’ advice is neither wanted nor helpful.

Porsches are Actually Very Cheap
the stats go like this. I have owned nine Porsches. Five of which have been GT Porsches including a GT2RS and two recent GT3's. Yes I have paid ADM on several of these cars. Maybe total $1.5 mil. Hold on average 3 to 5 years. Total cumulative depreciation to date less than $110k or approximately 7%.
In my mind spending $100 +/- k to own nine Porsches and drive lots of miles over 18 years, Best bargain ever! you guys have no idea how well Porsches compare to bad investments, or loose women, or big life mistakes! get a grip for goodness sakes....

I don't recall asking for much advice, and I'm definitely not seeking YOUR advice about anything. You say "goodbye" but will likely be back with more unsolicited advice ...

Everyone here was raised differently and exposed to things in life that shape one's perspective. Some were born smarter, some stronger, better looking, some have better work ethics, some were born into wealth etc etc.
What's bothersome about comments that I've read on RL over the years is that there's an abundance of arrogance. Sure, you may have attained a level of success, achievement or contentment that the vast majority of the populous either chooses not to, or cannot achieve. I choose to be grateful for where I am. I fail at times but really try to keep the perspective that it could be quite different for me, and my lifestyle can be taken away by unforeseen circumstances at any time. When I see or hear others discount a person's perspective I see a person that really should take a look in the mirror, because whatever it is you enjoy and take for granted can be taken away from you as well. Try not to be an *** today fellas...
