I believe that 4RS was originally sold by PNH. I recall seeing it (i remember it didn't have buckets) before delivery when dropping off a car for service. It's now used and they are selling for what they think is the market. They have done so for years. for trade in or sales back they offer wholesale price which other dealers do. Nothing unusual or special. I have gotten 2 GT cars from them for MSRP in the past. For the 992 3RS, they said they couldn't get me a car. I don't rate as a VIP.

I have no problem whatsoever with a dealer trying to obtain a "market" rate.
I'm just pointing out that PNH employs the same "market" rate business strategy as dealers in CA.
USC Tone-Deaf tries to claim the contrary, but he's terribly mistaken.
That's all.

There is not a Porsche store in the country that would not list a GT car for current market value that was traded back to them. My earlier point is they are an MSRP store for many clients and do not dealer spec GT car allocations for the highest bidder at arrival, like many stores do. In today's climate, they do it the right way, at least as I see it. With all the negative press for so many stores these days it is important to point out when a store does it the right way, and PNH is one of them.

It's a USED car, they'll ask for market pricing on it. Let me repeat it for the 100th time....They sell their GT cars for MSRP to their good customers as stated by other PNH in this thread....so let it go.

I don't see how them being 'nice' or 'building relationships' comes into the picture, other than how it affects their bottom line. Selling cars is a very transactional business, not really a professional service nor something done for the 'greater good' like being a doctor or teacher. The only wrong ways to do the car business are those which land them in legal trouble or cause them to make less money. If people want to throw money at dealers to get their cabbage patch cars, no reason why the dealers shouldn't take that money.

You know I'm you're buddy, so I'm the right person to ask you this question: how is it stealing? Within the law, wouldn't a dealer and their employees want to maximize their profit and personal incomes over a chosen timeframe (this month, this year, next few years)?

I call the dealers who spec GT cars for themselves and/or ***** out their GT cars to the high bidders because they don't place any value on building a relationship or play other kind of games and don't take care of their best customers. If there are dozes of dealers like PNH that do it the right way, the stealers can do it too. I wonder if any GT cars from the Bay Area stealers were sold for MSRP to their best customers (excluding 918 VIPs of course).
