NEO and PTS Rubystar are still two different colors. I get what your saying but we haven't seen the NEO in the flesh yet to know how different they are. I PTS'd Rubystar and could have changed mine to NEO and chose not to due to not having a clue what NEO would actually look like. I also did a lot of CXX so just the fact the car will be PTS and CXX meant something to me. I mean I see people PTS white, to each their own.

Congrats on your car BTW… special opportunity to be able to spec it exactly the way YOU want!

Of course it is double the price (but not double the pleasure, unless you are a collector staring at them).... When I was into the Ferrari game, I owned 2 16Ms, 2 Scuds, and 3 different 458s. I also owned a Pista for a bit. If you are a "driver", not an art collector, get the 458. Best bang for the Ferrari buck around. The Scud is exciting and raw but somewhat pedestrian (single clutch) and you won't enjoy the depreciation associated with putting miles on it.

I totally hear you, and I hope you understood that my comment was absolutely NOT a dig at the color (which incidentally really like!), but was just a poor attempt at trying to understand why the seller didn’t take $60k over MSRP… which means to me that he/she is greedy and/or over vested $$$-wise in the car.

Two different dealers have told me that the PTS program is canceled for the entire year of 2023. So the Neo Rubystar is a sort of PTS color that you can still order. Also the Python Green and shark blue and for only $3,800.
I have a Panamera 4 Hybrid Executive that finished being built and is in Emden that I paid $12,500 extra for Sapphire blue metallic as a PTS color. This is only offered on the SUV’s and the Panamera for some reason. But a few years back this same color was a special color that costs an extra $3,800 instead of $12,500. I ordered this back in the middle of 2022 -so Today it would not be available. This is the color my wife wanted despite the PTS up charge. She doesn’t write the checks. The colors from the configurator are often way off - here is a photo of python green 911 T I took at the unveiling at the LA auto show-/ and a mock-up of the same car from the configurator— a huge difference in how Python green looks. I suspect the rubystar neo will also vary greatly from the Porsche configurator look.

This is why you would need to see the color on another car or at least on a paint swatch at your dealership.
