354 sticker bid to 215. No disrespect but that sort of drop will never happen on a gt car. I don’t see it. That’s equivalent to a 189k 991.2 bid to 113. No chance. The demand for 911’s and GT cars far outweigh the demand for other exotic brands.

for instance look at the total views for that listing. Then compare to the ruby gt3 that currently has 5 days left. There’s already more views and watchers.
You're misunderstanding what I'm saying. Clearly GT cars hold their price much better relative to MSRP than McLarens other than their hypercar offerings. But 720's in particular didn't experience a price surge like the 992 GT3, so the average market price for a used 720 simply isn't moving precipitously downwards. What I was responding to was the prediction that there'd be a big correction in 720 prices. I doubt it, because there wasn't a big run up, and so the market decline isn't out of line with other supercars. And hell, if there is a big drop that would be a great opportunity to buy because it's A LOT of car.

There's clearly more hype around GT3's and with that, a lot more speculators and flippers. That's why there's probably going to be a bigger correction percentage-wise with 992 GT3 prices than some of the exotics. I don't see 991 prices falling that much because they didn't rise that much.

Lol OK? Cool story.

Anyways, another data point from today. Still a strong market for touring 6-speed, this looked like a low MSRP build.

You wrote a novel complaining about dealers just doing what they are in the business of doing (hint - it’s making money and it is not making sure every customer that wants a GT3 at MSRP can get one). It’s not about being uptight - it’s just this constant complaining about the “evil dealers” (when people know they would do the exact same thing if they were in that role) is getting incredibly old on this thread and isn’t constructive.

I’ll leave it at that and not bore everyone with even more back and forth.

The cars are too hard to get, and if you got one you paid too much (one way or another).

Or you got one (at whatever price) and don't care enough to post in this thread (or online/on rennlist in general).

The question was why people in this thread are so uptight. I have no doubt that there are people not in this thread who bought the cars and are having fun with them without worrying about cost or depreciation.

This thread exists because there are people who do care about the price and depreciation, and whether they want to admit it or not, everyone posting in this thread fits that description (regardless of how rich they are).

And I think that caring about the price and depreciation is generally the norm rather than exception, hence a few hundred 911 GT cars sitting for sale for a relatively long time because there aren’t enough people willing to pay the seller asking prices.

No.
This thread exists because there are people like yourself that dont have the money to purchase this amazing GT car.
People like "Ascend" who say that they wouldnt even buy this car at MSRP. People like you, who just like to hear themselves talk and suffer from Dunning-Kruger.

I put that guy on ignore, but I see his posts when he’s quoted. He responds to my posts even after I told him I put him on ignore.

Yeah, I have 10 cars, but I can’t afford a new GT car with some ADM, makes sense.

No one posts more in this thread than him, yet he’s not even shopping for a car. Strange bird. He’s annoying, but I feel sorry for him.

You're the guy that claims to own 10 cars and havent bought a GT car in 7 years.
But you claim to be #1 on your dealer's list and at MSRP.
Yeah right buddy.

By the way, you've posted 200 times in this thread.
No one comes close to that.
You're a legend!

Some folks here could benefit from less time on RL and more time making some money on the side to pay the ADM and get the car they want... lol
