What’s strange is the guys who already have a GT car and aren’t looking to buy, and post here incessantly to argue that ADMs won’t ever go down much and if you didn’t already get your GT car, you’re screwed and will never be able to get one without paying a big ADM. And they meanwhile also complain that other people post too much …
If I weren’t occasionally getting some useful info from this thread, I’d unsubscribe.

He’s a strange bird, oddly aggressive and obsessive behavior even by RL standards. He sent me two unsolicited PMs to harass me, and I had to report him to the mods. Maybe he lost a lot of money in investments and is now hypersensitive about ADM.

Sure, not in Socal or South Florida but there are a lot of decent sized dealers moving decent volume outside of that

Certainly if you want to be sure you will get a 992.1 in the 2023 calendar year you need to move fast and be willing to pay up. #4 at a decently sized dealer may not get the call unless someone else drops out or they let the sales manager know that they'll pay more than 1-3.

Here's another data point . . . Chris Harris' 992 Touring is already $77,000 over MSRP on his auction site in the UK.
PTS Dark Sea Blue, FAL, and PCCB with 6,468 miles.
Clearly a financial decision.
He needs the cash and his 991 clearly wasnt going to bring in the money as his 992 Touring.
He did say he preferred his 991 over British roads (among other reasons) and that Porsche was "rude" to him when wanting to order a GT4RS.

He clearly states he does not have the financial means to have the two cars in his garage.
Harris is acting like a spoiled brat not getting the EXACT 4RS he wants from Porsche (in England I guess it's called being a '****'). He's literally selling his 992 Touring because he got his feelings hurt by Porsche.

In his 992 Touring review from 7 months ago, he stated that he was getting one because he was able to tap into Porsche financing.
He sounds a bit "miffed" that he didnt get any special treatment from Porsche regarding the 4RS.
Maybe he should talk to Manifold about getting put 1st on his dealer's list at MSRP.

Selling 1 of 2 tourings is perfectly sensible, unnecessary drama aside. He could have left it at that but revealed his pique and derided porsche for not delivering what he was promised.
Give the guy a break. We’ve all been there.

I've seen both Tourings he has and the yellow (wrapped) one is a beautiful spec, the one he's selling to me is not...I understand, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but that 992 one is just a weird exterior/interior/seat insert color, carbon roof and aluminum interior accent combo.
I totally understand that he expects a little more loyalty from Porsche after all the promoting he's done in the past for them. Did they pay him, or was he independent and just naturally gushed over the cars? Wonder if he'll change his tune in future reports and tests.
