I see some inconsistency here. How is stating GT3 should be tracked any different than the same people here slamming the guy with the blue interior spec for sale. I recall most saying here it's a wasted spec, should never get an allocation, etc. Does the guy have a right to spec blue interior? it is his car, paid for all and should be able to spec blue, red, green interior and should not matter if we are being consistent here.
An opinion is just that and saying GT3s ideally should be tracked will not change people buying GT3s that never track just like saying the blue interior spec is hideous will not change someone else adding a blue interior.

The biggest issue with the 992 gt3 is it’s majority speculators buying them making fake demand.
2022/2023 gt3 for sale: 170
2022/2023 gt4 for sale: 16
the delta on these 2 is insanity. It either means no one wants the gt3 (not true) or they just made over 10x gt3 as gt4 for these two years (also not true) or everyone is turning them back in because they don’t like them (def not true)
so the only thing left is just everyone is trying to sell them for some reason (trying to flip for profit)
this doesn’t help Porsche and it doesn’t help the end customer. Those are the only 2 people Porsche really cares about. So the model is broken right now and these kinds of events usually end badly.
I really don’t see how these 170 cars move in todays environment at remotely close to their asking prices and they’re still making more. This simple math equation leads to an obvious result in my eyes

As much as people hate the current ADM situation, it absolutely helps Porsche, the same way the overheated market for Rolexes, AP's, and Pateks helps those brands. When you make something that carries that much hype it boosts the brand and eventually the hype spills over into the other products you make. With Rolex the Daytona hype slowly spilled over into the other sport models to where there's waitlists for almost everything.
The fact that there is a relatively high proportion of 992 GT3 buyers trying to flip them means some of those individuals and dealers will lose money as the market cools down. But that doesnt hurt Porsche, they already got their money.
Ultimately I don't know that there's any 'fixing the sales model' other than building more cars. If some of the other posts are to believed, Porsche actually managed to sell almost 3000 992 GT3's in the US so far, so they're trying. Short of making more cars, I don't know that Porsche can really fix the problem because they don't have a lot of direct power over dealerships, and any anti-markup measures you take are simply going to result in some other sort of tradeoff. So with Ferrari (and Rolex), dealers can't sell at a markup, but you end up on waitlists for potentially a very long time, and the customers who buy the most get preference. So with GT cars you'd just be paying your ADM by buying a lot of what you don't want in order to get the car you do want. And you'd STILL have big markups in the secondary market ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

no one asked
funny you just bought an m4 tho. One of the worst cars to depreciate.
I realize now that you’re just a troll looking for conversation.

A multi-billionaire buys up the vast majority of the GT cars by paying very high ADM, thus driving up the ADM for the cars bought by others, and proceeds to send them all to the junkyard because he finds it amusing. Everyone ok with that? He can do whatever he wants with his money, right? No basis for anyone to complain about his actions?

Splain to me why people who aren’t looking to buy a Porsche, and already bought one by paying substantial ADM, spend time reading and posting in an ADM thread, usually justifying ADM and predicting it won’t go away.

Funny how intolerant people are when they hear things they don’t like hearing.

This thread is nothing more than mindless entertainment. No one knows with any degree of certainty what will happen to ADMs on GT3s, or many other cars (Porsche and non Porsche) for that matter. And those that claim to are liars. Just a bunch of speculation.

No one knows WITH ANY DEGREE OF CERTAINTY........IF 992 GT3 ADM was a stock that correlates perfectly with the avg. ADM.....would you buy it right now?
I don't think anyone would...
Obvious direction Rusman

The ADM itself isn’t super important to me personally because I’m now top of my dealer’s list for next round of GT allocations and I’ll be paying MSRP. Already have several Porsches, including two GT cars, and no big rush to replace them - I can wait, and will.

Also you have the reading comprehension of a pothole. I do not own a GT3. I did not pay ADM for a GT3. I have no incentive for GT3 prices to be above MSRP. I benefit zero from the current situation. ZERO. Please take note of that. And as I said before, keep my name out of your first grade level comments.
