A place to discuss all things ADM
#1831
Have never seen so much hoarding of G-Wagens by ADs and secondary market dealers ever. Suspect most will sit for a while. Area: South Florida. That is a truck I’ll never buy again.
Can we get back to Porsche ADM talk please?

Part of me thinks they are artificially propping this market up. One of the local LA cars thats been listed by a large dealership here for 60+ days at $110K over was offered to me at $45K over via a broker, why don't they just send it to auction if its been sitting for 60+ days? The broker mentioned they have been sending emails out to their contacts trying to move this specific car. Something does not add up, if this is the case, we will just start seeing those needing to move a car sell at true market value. I think the fact they are going through their broker network instead of just cutting the price online could mean they are colluding with other dealers to not show price decreases in the market.

Of course it's very possible, the dealers don't want to cut prices too low because buyers are shopping nationwide so as soon as one or two dealers cut prices to below $50k the "market" will catch on and those dealers that still think they'll get $100k+ ADMs will be F'ed.

Even if ends up at say 'just' a $50K markup, it is one dealer. And the saying goes "a single stork does not bring spring", correction would have to be exhibited across the board (which has been due for some time but markups have been resilient considering we are more towards middle/EOP than SOP of the GT3, and supply headwinds will be present for a while).

not all specs should be priced the same absolute amount

Dealers are full of sales people that try to make you think something is a deal by pricing it really high and then dropping it to normal levels. Oldest trick in the book.
btw: it shouldn’t be a surprise if GT market cools since we’re in a recession and inflation is 10% and the RS is coming.
