Just heard that my car is ready for collection so will be picking it up this Wednesday PM. ordered the car in April and build completed at the factory on 20 June. It's a Racing Yellow 991.2 C4S with PDK, PSE, RWS, Sport PASM, front lift, RS wheels, glass sunroof etc etc. I got totally carried away like many on the options which all became "necessities" as lock approached. Will post pics for those that like yellow��. Ps this is my first Porsche, coming from an M3

We ordered this beast in April and looking forward to the ED pickup in September! Seeing Graphite Blue in person convinced her this was the right color, beating out the variety of silver options. I hope the light interior (vs. black) was the right call.

I have a PTS build in this month for late Sept delivery - anyone know the schedule for August - do they stop production for the whole month or just slow down as most employees are on vacation?

I'm doing Euro Delivery and picking up my GTS Targa in Stuttgart on July 25th. Will keep my eyes out for cars being assembled then.

My understanding is that production slows down the very end of July and the factory is closed a good part of August.

I went to visit my SA last week to review options and finalize my configuration. My car was originally scheduled for a July build and September delivery. A couple of weeks ago I asked for end of September to early October delivery due to my work schedule and travel plans during September. He told me that Zuffenhausen is expecting some delays in July and August production due to the PCM subcontractor in Japan. Apparently there was an earthquake?? in Japan limiting PCM supply. So, P is shifting some PCMs from Stuttgart to Leipzig for Macans, Cayennes and Panameras. He is still hopeful that my car will begin production late July or early August and still arrive late September or October.

I also was curious about sales of various configurations and the S in particular since I saw a post earlier in this thread suggesting that sales of the S were going very slowly. Despite this assertion it seems like most on rennlist have spec'd the S over the base configuration. For what its worth, my SA said that they have no S cars available for the remainder of the year at my dealer and there are very few (20 or fewer) open configurations of S cars for the rest of 2016 throughout North America. Made me glad I got my order in when I did.

TAL2GK, my build date was 6/24 and I got a notification email from PEC on July 5th. My understanding was that they had to wait to know which ship it was scheduled on. I don't think it is actually on the boat yet, my SA said he would send that info when it gets posted.

991.2 C4S arrived in San Diego 7/8. As of right now in PDI and scheduled to be at dealership by 7/22. Wish I could fly over and just pick it up.

RO/RO ship "California Highway" now docked at HOU, and my C2S last seen at Zuffenhausen is supposedly on-board. So reunion is getting close now
