Talk to yr SA: better get on to it pronto. I am trying to recall where I saw it whether it was on an ED site or the booklet. Might be an idea to ping Daniel Margrave at PCNA at Atlanta, as he may have the info.

Just found out my car's on the Altair Leader. Tracked it and it's off the west coast of Mexico, north west of Guatemala. Well that's fun. I guess it will really be here Aug 5-ish. Anyone want a GT4?

Curious: just had your fun or something else? Was there something the 4S had > the GT4 that was compelling?

Just got my delivery approximation--car was ordered on June 20 and confirmed on July 1, with lock-in on July 20. Build is sometime in September, and PEC Atlanta Delivery is scheduled for November 4. From there, it will be a maiden voyage to Key West, back home to VA, and then up to the Annapolis dealership for the plastic coating on the trunk lid (etc.) and replacement of the front wheel-well orange marker lights with clear ones. It's a silver C4S coupe with red and black interior, glass sunroof, etc. Now that it's becoming a reality, I am finally starting to get excited. And it looks like I will have time to get to the Austin Grand Prix before delivery!

917k--The GT4 is the closest thing to a pure sports car I've driven. It has an energy and charisma about it that's captivating. The turn in and grip along with the exhaust note is intoxicating. My wife and I bought it with the idea of keeping the miles super low then keeping it for 8-10 years and see what the value would be (actually my wife's idea!). The first problem is, modern cars, even low production, are typically a poor investment. The next problem is--I want to drive the thing! It's a blast. So I'm not selling it to get the C4S, that's replacing my .1 C2S, I'm just wanting to get my money out of it and put it somewhere else (who knows where in today's investment climate). I would rather just drive it, that would be return enough for me. But one depreciating sports car asset is enough, and I choose the 911 for that.
