HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
It was built six months before mine. I bet that is one of the Byers' Porsches.
Now, a more important question, is this HFS?
Well, while I am surprised that asking prices are identical for nearly the same car, one year later, I will indeed declare this on HFS.
Why? Well I have been watching this thread since it began over two years ago and I have seen a lot of 991's for sale come and go. It is extremely rare for any 991 to come this loaded, especially an S. This build probably exceeds most of the GTS's I have seen and most of those were asking more $$$ (although they were also newer model years, to be candid). Burmester, PCCBs, Sport PASM, Aerokit Cup, leather interior w/ CF trim, yellow seat belts and gauges - this is a VERY nice car with relatively low miles and still under the CPO warranty.
I rate it HFS. You will find cheaper 991's, even GTS's. It is highly unlikely that you will find another 991 Carrera with such a such a build, though.

Perhaps this Winter we will see real GTS's with clean history dip under the 100 mark, but might be another year+ out still.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are some current GTS owners who are on lists for the new GT3, putting some GTS's on the market when deliveries happen, but they are likely manuals for the die-hard folks for whom only three pedals will do. My guess is lots of GT4 owners switching over as well.
...
I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of Byers Porsche's (Columbus, OH) builds - they said they had a customer spec one out and then built three more to sell, nearly identical. All sold local. One (not mine and not this one) had deviated stitching. It isn't showing up on their website yet - is there a carfax? That would tell where it originated from...

It was nice of this dealer to hit up RL first on this car. It's not even on their website yet.

As I said the other problem is that when rusts affects car stability then you have to fix it with new panels in Germany. In Boston? Nah.
You guys crack me up!
When is the last time one saw a rusty 997 or 991??
Berlin or Boston, what's the difference?
Cars these days are very well protected from corrosion, especially the body panels. Of course, drive in salty road winters for 15 years and you WILL have issues. The underneath of the car (mufflers, bolts, components, etc. I'm sure will show surface corrosion sooner).
Geez, I was told to avoid rain I read that somewhere on RL here. You guys will love my car
The only difference here in the US, seems like guys have a lot more "toys" that aren't daily drivers.

As a side note ... You guys have to follow this thread. 6-Speed 911R manual tranny dropped into a 991.1 GT3 RS (which is PDK only).

Well, we were talking about mentality. Germans grow up going through periods where they have to use cheap cars, and the inspection and rust don't mix.
Later, even after going 911, they continue to rate car age as more important, compared to Americans who rate miles as more important.
