Expensive Cab, but good money off. Missing PSE, "only" Bose, otherwise pretty complete. Good color, 2-tone full leather and carbon fiber trim.

Very pretty car, but boy would I hate to have been the one taking the deprecation of the first owner.

Boxster/Cayman
2006 sales 11,528 First year for Cayman
2007 sales 9,649
2008 sales 6,495
2009 sales 3,875 BIG drop...recession!
2010 sales 3,499
2011 sales 3,150
2012 sales 3,356
2013 sales 7,953 HOLY COW, nice jump
2014 sales 7,292
2015 sales 6,663
2016 sales 6,260

Boxster/Cayman sales peaked in 2014 and steadily declined (after an astounding 137 percent jump in 2013). Still twice what they were five years ago.

In 2009 Porsche still publicly reported out by specific model - base, S, cab, turbo, 4S, etc...wish they still did that.
There were no 2013 Cayman models. They went from 2012 987.2 to 2014 981. Only the 981 Box in 2013. That may sku the numbers a bit.

These are sales by calendar year, not based on model year. Was there a period when no Caymans were offered for sale? If so, how long did that last? Just curious - I honestly don't know. That jump really stood out - and Porsche praised it in their press release that year as a 137 percent jump in Boxster/Cayman sales.

I didn't know that, though - very interesting! No 2013 Cayman - kind of like the 1983 Corvette LOL.

IIRC the "turbo design wheels" (7 double spokes) are the only forged wheels that came with new non-turbo/non-gts 911 cars, both for 991.1 and 991.2.

Somebody posted a table of OEM wheel weights somewhere, there might be a difference in weight or at least in weight/robustness.

Those Sport Design wheels end up on a lot of c4's for whatever reason. First painted set i've seen in gray, look nice.

I think you'll continue to see 911 sales struggle. Porsche has clearly sold their soul to the suv market which has been the course of most of the auto makers. Then there's the Panamerican which i'm still trying to figure out.

They were on a lot of launch cars and other early 2012.5 991 S's or 2013 4S's.

Looking for a price point car with higher mileage? This is it possibly. Great build.

Yes, higher miles but one owner and looks like scheduled maintenance has been up to date.

I emailed the owner. He's legit has been daily driven in Wisconsin winters too as an FYI. How much or details I don't have. Whoever is interested for it.

Nooo don't do it man! Third pedal is a must. Fully 50% better than two pedals. It's math.

Bad idea to cave on the transmission of choice unless you're good at compromising. I love manuals too but don't at all miss the 3rd pedal when driving the GTS in manual mode, which is 99.99% of the time.
I split that 80/20 in favor of the button shifters...

YES you are....wait, no...uh, maybe?! I have to have the third pedal. But when you see a car like this, it's worth considering. I have not enjoyed the PDKs in the 911 - to me it just begs for a 7 MT, but that's obviously a personal preference and nothing against the fine PDK.

But...if it checks out, this one sounds really nice and sounds like it's been cared for properly. Also some nice add-ons. Not bad for $55K!

I know we haven't seen many high mileage ones yet, but are there any significant service $$ that are anticipated to be incurred in the upper 75K - 100K mile range?

Buy it. Drive the **** out of it for a year while looking for your perfect car. Sell it for close to what you paid for it.

The only "hate it" option for me would be the steering wheel, but that can be swapped out. Bemo is the ONLY guy in here who likes the shift buttons, everyone else installs the SD wheel
