Lurkers who read this thread are by now quite knowledgeable. If you price it correctly, it will sell. Otherwise it can be a sitting block like a lot of those listed in the pca advertisement pages

Yeah, this is all different IIRC the base warranty over there is only 3 years. And every 2 years they have a real safety inspection, which older cars can easily fail. A high quality car failing safety inspection on some chicken**** that is not a real problem in the owner's opinion requires expensive parts to fix, and the owner doesn't exactly think they get value out of such a repair.

All of Germany is also subject to snow and humidity with varying temperatures is common. Cars rust a lot faster over there than e.g. here in Boston.

Looks like that Porsche St Louis 991 is a ghost. It's not on the dealer website unless it's really new inventory.

I've been lurking on HFS for several months now. The deals are really getting me to think about going 991.1! My unicorn is a 991 GTS, PDK, Agate, SPASM under $100 with as low of miles as possible and a nice long warranty!

But any 991 S that's a deal right now would be up my alley...

Respectfully, Boston has a very extreme weather and it is at the sea, I really doubt there are much worse environments for rusting in Germany. Is there any data that backs up this idea?

Someone here needs to buy this car!

This looks exactly likes Hurricane's car!! A twin?

His has adaptive cruise control though. This one does not. The funny thing is, this car was once listed for sale in Ohio too. Same state as Hurricane bought his.

Would be interesting to see which dealer both cars originated at.

P.S. I listened to Howard Stern decades ago in high school using my Walkman

Thanks for the info. I never was a Star Trek guy or Stern follower.

I can relate to the Walkman though!

Very, very close. Not quite as high as my MSRP but very close - trying to spot the differences...no PDCC (mine has PDCC), no adaptive cruise control (mine has ACC), no heated steering wheel (both are CF MF), and no aluminum-look fuel cap (I have this), no 5mm spacers (got it!), although it has rear compartment lighting, electric folding mirrors, black colored headlight washers, and front/rear park assist. Other than clear taillights and the aforementioned items, it is identical to mine. A VERY nice build!

I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of Byers Porsche's (Columbus, OH) builds - they said they had a customer spec one out and then built three more to sell, nearly identical. All sold local. One (not mine and not this one) had deviated stitching. It isn't showing up on their website yet - is there a carfax? That would tell where it originated from.

My build sheet, for comparison:

Funny, I was really looking for a car with ACC and just happened upon mine that had a LOT more than I was originally looking for, and $50k higher MSRP than the 991S that I had at the time (that I traded in). So in theory I might have overlooked this car last year because it didn't have ACC! LOL!

Interesting marker for prices for me - for a car with 2k more miles on it than mine had last year (I had 13k, this one has 15k), they are asking the exact same as what the dealer was asking for last year (and I also had an additional year of CPO warranty), and more than what I paid for mine last year! So prices definitely seem to be holding, at least in the short term.
