Was driving by a dealer today. What on earth would want to make me stop?

Is this the company that makes the 911?
I know this is the reality obviously but hard to look at.

STG, I have no problems with the mothership selling what the public wants. Don't want a repetition of the 90s when she almost ran out of money bc all she had were sports cars (assuming 928 was one too).
Hey, even the new Ferrari business plan is a copy of Porsche's
Maybe Porsche should also start selling these again

Not couch change!
Maybe someone can look up PCCB pad and rotor $$??

For comparison, I put all new brakes on my 991.1 C2S early this year at a quality independent service shop for about $1250, including new rotors, using Porsche OEM supplier parts. I didn't like the rusty hubs on my old rotors, and it needed a brake fluid flush too, so I went ahead and did it all.
Suncoast gets $11.5K for front PCCB rotors (pair), $10.2K for rear pair. Pads are semi-reasonable at about $380/pr, front or rear.
$23K+ for a full set of rotors and pads, at a Suncoast discount. Local dealers are likely significantly more... Plus labor, which is probably more hours than steel rotors...
There are quite a few threads about how to tell if your PCCB rotors need replacement without a definitive answer. Last time I looked at a PCCB car, the local dealer wanted $350 just to inspect the rotors independent of the PPI!

How's the new acquisition? I did buy that lottery ticket the day you announced your purchase and just checked it, $7 bucks (Powerball). Buys me 2 gallons of gas in the state of CT.
By the way, hung out with a friend today and spent couple of hours trying to keep up with his '15 Turbo S! Unlike the new base, it sounded great and it was maddeningly fast!
I could see myself making the switch

Holy cow, glad I have steel brakes!

The new turbo's (base and S) are fast, but the latest gen capital T Turbo's are really ridiculously quick. Even the 6TT generation is mighty quick, and even quicker with simple and inexpensive OBD port loaded tune, easily a match quickness-wise for a 991.1 S with powerkit.
I've been looking at this one and trying to figure out if too good to be true or HFS or what.

I've seen an equivalent version (same year/options), but manual and less than 2K miles for $99K. Does manual and mileage really make a $18K difference?

^^^^ Mileage, yes! 26K miles on the Shift car (which shows pending sale by the way) vs. one with under 2K miles is HUGE!! Nearly new vs. quite a few miles = nice price difference. I like the nearly new options at great prices.
That's me. I immediately put a deposit down when I saw it. I take delivery of vehicle in a couple of days and have 5 days to return it if not wanted. I figure with that kind of guarantee I don't lose by acting fast. This thread has taught me a lot in what is rare/wanted/shunned. Looking at current market (through searching and seeing whats offered on this thread) it seemed like a lot of car for the price. I can't find any similar models this cheap or for this price, this featured.

HOTT BUILD. Probably one of the nicest out there with nothing even close to something similar to it.
Please keep us posted!!
Are you local to it? How do you plan on picking it up?

I like the build, white over black, LED lights, some aluminum interior bits, etc.
It looks like the 2015 'P3N Sport Package' option includes Sport Chrono and Sport Exhaust? Does it bundle in anything else?
Have you run a Carfax on it yet?
Never heard of shift until now. Pretty cool concept, no haggle/hassle. Too bad looks like only in Southern California. Let us know how the purchasing experience and car is!

Shift is a bit of an interesting model... They don't own the cars they market, don't buy cars from sellers like a carmax. They do take possession of the car, detail, inspect, price, photograph, arrange for test drives, handle paperwork etc.
One possible advantage might be that a CPO would pass through, since technically you are buying direct from a private seller, not a dealership.
