HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991

I have access to Manheim pricing history, and the prices are consistent, albeit maybe a couple K higher if I'm critical and giving you the benefit of the doubt.. Still, its not $13K off. Lets revisit this thread in 2 years and see who was right! ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
BTW Crispy, I am not saying that the core car's value will get hammered, historically 911's settle down on pricing losses ~8 years old and will only loose 2-3k a year. I'm saying that this price inflation that is going on now is artificial and when it settles, the $10k over a fair price you've spent will be gone. That is the hammering I'm referring to.
I've seen plenty of cars in the $50K range, but still too overpriced to jump on or even call a good deal.

I think that price is pretty good given that it's a C2S with SPASM and other goodies. I mean c'mon, original MSRP of 116k and now, 13k miles later it's only 67k. That's almost 4USD/mile just for depreciation. The car is going to last for more than 67k/4USD/mile=+17000miles when it will be fully depreciated with this rate.
Edit: I guess the car never really depreciates fully as parts can be sold after a blown engine or something, but price wise, I think it's a good handwaving calculation.

Case in point, when I was looking for an R8, I bought a 1/20 limited edition for 93k, KBB showed 120k as the value. KBB doesn't represent the market very well on lower volume cars, up or down.

All three of the 2015 Targa 4S below are relatively similarly equipped (PDK, SC, PASM, Premium Package, PDLS, ventilated seats, Bose). Given that, I’d think the third one is about $8-10k too high of an asking price, especially since the first two have been for sale for a month or more with recent price drops vs the third that was just listed this week?
63k miles, $84k ask/$138k MSRP (64% ask vs sticker): Silver ext, black/garnet int
43k miles, $90k ask/$136k MSRP (66%): black/black
56k miles, $96k ask/$137k MSRP (70%)
Agate grey ext, black/garnet int
Given the mileage and the first two examples asking 64% and 66%, since the third slots right in the middle mileage wise, 65% would be $89k.

What am I smoking? Reality?
You can put whatever you want into KBB, it's not reflective of current values. In the context of the here and now, this is a good deal.
Also if you think 991.1 S's, specifically MT's are gonna get hammered in 3-4 years, you're wrong.
Last edit: some of us like to drive. You can sit around and wait for that unicorn for 3-5 years. Others will buy the car now at an "Inflated" price and get enjoyment out of it. What's the point of a 911 anyway?

I have a PTS 2013 991.1S, manual, PCCB, and a 139k new sticker with about 5k miles and have been told I could likely get around 80k maybe more on a trade for it.

I found this on eBay: 2015 C4S MT with 17k miles for 66kUSD
The only catch is, that it's a theft recovery (according to vincheck.info). Would this be trouble?

"Estimated Repair Cost $4125"
I'm not a body man or insurance adjustor, but I think that might be a bit low.

This is hilarious, thanks for the info. These adds make me angry tbh. I reported it at eBay, but I couldn't include the bidfax link. If any of you know how to report it properly, please let me know.
Next time I should put the VIN into google first, not into vincheck and vinanalytics.

Saw this red 2018 T at a local dealer today (Boston area) , apparently 'never registered'. Surprisingly the description doesn't even mention that it's a T.
