I think that car is just about perfect. It would be across country for me as well... and im not quite comfortable doing that yet. Best of luck with the purchase!

That is a great spec. Hit it before I do.

I have twice. My previous 2011 911 C4S and my wife's 2013 BMW X3. Did a PIP on both and had them shipped to me. Both were still under warranty at the time as well minimizing any risk. The 911 did have a couple of small issues that the seller took care of. Worked out just fine. The PIP is a must if buying sight unseen.

I have several times. ‘89 928gt, ‘14 911 and a ‘19 911T. Drove every one of them home. The hunt for the right car is fun and driving it home is even better. Best of luck!

You would spend 80 grand on a car but not 200 bucks for a plane ticket? Most of the time, same day round trip flights are reasonable. Especially Saturdays. I did it 3 times, purchasing the last car.

2 of the 3 times the seller picked me up from the airport. After seeing the cars I scheduled PPI's and made a determination whether to proceed. Most of the time, the PPI cost more than the airfare. Why spend any money on a car you haven't seen, may not be happy with after you bought it?

So this is a first for me. I posted a few weeks ago about a car that has been on a dealer lot for over three months now. Car was DD in NYC and has relatively high mileage, bare bones options, the brakes were in rough condition, etc.

Car was originally listed for $80k, then $78k, then $73k, and most recently they had dropped it to $70k in late December. I was keeping an eye on it even though it had rusted bolts from the salt and snow it’s clearly been in, thinking maybe when they got to the mid $60k range we could talk.

Much to my surprise, I just checked it again and they *raised* the price back to $72k?!? Maybe they finally decided they couldn’t sell it the way it was, so replaced the brakes and are trying to make some of their money back?

I have a 991.2 Graphite Blue with the glass sunroof. IMO the combination is stunning!

This appears to be an extremely hot deal. No accidents on CarFax, very good spec with PDCC+SPASM, SC, PSE, 18-way sport seats, Prem +, Bose, SportDesign wheel, and CF interior trim. $129k MSRP. It checks all of the boxes for me except the wife wants a 7MT. I would pick it up in a heartbeat if everything checks out as the car also appears to be in excellent condition from the photos.

Hope I can help someone else out to grab an amazing car at a fantastic price. I know a lot of you are in the market for something like this and these are really tough to find in an enthusiast spec.

If you happen to find a 7MT with the same spec let me know first! You know, if you hate the color of the tyres or something

Normally I would be excited to fly out to pick up the car and road trip home...
But with COVID.... I'd rather not.

Plus, it's a good story to have bought a car without ever seeing it, and that's gotta count for something

Just get an n95 and goggles. Flying is quite pleasant now. Not a lot of people on planes or in airports and everyone is driving pretty fast on the interstates.

Flying isn't a big deal. If covid was rampant on aircraft, all the flight crews would be sick. Really haven't heard of that happening at all.

I was checking this one out. Unfortunately, the previous owner seemed to have used the rear seats for their child(ren) car seats with no protection underneath, and it left some serious indentations in the leather. I decided to continue my search due to the probability being slim that I would be able to get it repaired and be 100% happy with the results. I am still in disbelief the previous owner would have done such a thing to an amazing car.

Do you plan on seating people back there on a regular basis?
If not, just fold the seat backs down to make a more useable package shelf. Problem solved.
Mine are always folded down.

One can also see those dents in one of the images. I think I would have negotiated about 1k off the price and get it fixed. A good upholstery place can probably fix it for that much if it's not all the way torn.
