Yes they moved. $110K and they pay for shipping my car. I think they started in a fairly reasonable place. I find it slightly annoying when the advertised price starts out as unreasonable.

I traded mine to them, so that makes the calculus of where we ended up more complicated. The tax difference between a private sale (for mine) and the trade, made the deal within my zone of comfortable - ness. It's an interstate deal, so two cars have to travel 12 hours in the exchange.

STG,

I spoke initially with your contact, and then with Mr. Grape (fun name, and they were both very friendly). They are 'friends of Renn'. I think the free shipping was a nice touch. Thanks for the lead. I might drive the car back to have some fun, and hopefully not get any tickets.

Congrats! My friend Benedict fuc*ing gets it. Good and smart man.

The advertised price was very attractive to start, and I hate when some of these dealers go on lottery odds when pricing cars. Hoping some idiot bites.

This is the way it should work. Nicely done

agreed - always great to work with dealerships like that. Thanks for sharing. Nice that they had a little wiggle room for you and helped on shipping.

We're going to need to build a database of all the cars mentioned, the basic info, and if they've sold or are still available...and of course the list of those we've discovered to have a history.

Squid is the spreadsheet guy

At least we've been posting VIN #'s with each car.

The rest might be a full time job.

The HFS Alumni thread is good for something. Post them up guys!

I'm not normally a fan of gray cars, but this is definitely growing on me. Great job and congrats!

Oh, that's the one! The one with the longest active listing of a sold car in history?

The car that always comes up every couple weeks like it's still for sale?
