Lol. This from the guy who brought the GM marketing cheerleading into this thread? Why didn’t you “keep it to the C8 thread”?

Of course it’ll make it into production. It’s a Vette. Shoddy fit and finish is as expected as pushrods.

High chance I’d still take one over a 991.2 due to the N/A roarer alone. Hopefully the 992 puts a 9A2evo in a model so I can have my cake (911) and eat it too (emotive/loud N/A engine). Until then, imo the 991.1 is a hard proposition to let go of, when taking all factors into account.

You pay like 20%+ more for a Porsche because their high profit margins and overpaid union German line workers.

The C8 will be a game changer. Wait until the higher performance variants come out as well.

I was thinking more of the never-ending NA > boosted dialogue as opposed to C8 discussion specifically. Great that you love your .1 but not every post needs to vent about .2s having a couple of turbos.

Spot on. I have a .1 love the NA, but I think the 991.2 is very appealing how it delivers the power and all the visual upgrades to boot.

To each it's own.

I used ro own an C5 back when they first came out and the build quality was not great, but nearly 20 years all of the manufacturers have come a long a way, including the domestic brands.

My F350 is just a luxurious as my Range Rover is most of the interior and the Range Rover Carrie's at 60% premium.

Can we PLEASE post some HFS 991s? On a side note, I was just in Big Sur and I rented a 991.2 base vert for the trip. It was my first experience with the TT motor - I liked the power delivery and its eagerness. Great car.

Here's a lovely CPO 991.2 stripper for little over 997.2 money. Oh I'd be all over that sexy thing if I could. Guards red on tan, such a nice color combo. Would look even better with silver wheels, but that can be fixed.

Nice car, and really not much of a stripper for a base .2. premium package, glass roof, pdk, spyder wheels, 14-ways, $105K build. If it had sport chrono (or if there was a way to add sport-plus pdk programming to an existing 991) I'd also be super interested.

I'm a bit shocked at how many cars are ordered without sport chrono. I could care less about the dash wart, and no biggie giving up dynamic engine mounts, but losing the sport + mode in pdk and/or the auto-blip rev matched downshifts on the manual is a deal breaker for me.

(ps, I love the anthracite wheels!)

I like them too, but there's something about a red car with silver wheels, it makes the car look cheerful and happy.

seems like an ok price at best for that mileage w/o sport exhaust and chrono

Good point on the mileage. I need to adjust my perceptions, I come from the air cooled and 996TT worlds, where a 100k mile car is considered barely broken in.
