HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991

I thought you were trying to joke in someway until i read the resurrected thread about this issue. It’s so crazy that the only fix is to replace the transmission.
After I made that post I went looking for the thread and couldn't find it. Then, boom, someone made a post and it popped up.
It looks like the problem seems to show up after a few years, when the car may not have warranty. I'm still not sure just how widespread it is, but man, a $15K fix will hurt your feelings.

Went to see this in person, looks great with the black door handles and rims. Very limited info and buying it as-is though you can return in 7 days supposedly.

^^^ A friend of mine bought a Boxster Spider from Carmax. Then he took it for a Ppi, and they found a transmission issue. He had no problem returning the car.

Hi Everyone, I wanted to pop in briefly and say thank you to all of the contributors to this thread. I’ve lurked on-and-off over the years and learned a lot about different 991 trims and specs from this thread, what to look for in a car, and how to gauge the price.
I picked up a 911 50th a couple of weeks back, and while not quite a ‘hot for sale’ car (mileage was a bit high, but priced accordingly) I’m super happy with it. I wanted to say thanks to this thread for helping convince me to (finally) pull the trigger and get into a 911.

It has PSE, Sport Chrono, PDCC (think this means it has PASM), Burmester, 18-ways. Sounds like the car is "on hold."

Thanks! The car had 40k miles on it when I picked it up.
Heres the build sheet: https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AB2A93ES121169/
The 50th cars were generally optioned like I was looking for (deviated stitch and brushed aluminum on the interior are great), which made things a bit simpler.
