That would be an exception rather than the rule. This has been discussed many times on this forum.

+1

Correct on all your responses above.

Porsche doesn't want to give non Porsche dealers any added value to sell their cars. They like to keep it in the family.

It's a bit frustrating the CPO does not transfer through a non-dealer. In addition, it's not uncommon to see non-dealers advertise a car as having CPO without realizing it's void.

Another Car I am looking at. Just came onto market.
VIN: WP0AB2A94DS122247

2013 Guards Red C2S. SC, PDK, Roof, PDCC/SPASM. No PSE. 13K miles
Down to $82K.
Seems like a good deal. Has CPO and is getting 4 new tires.

I am going to go for this car

however, the Porsche dealer I just traded in my CPO 2012 told me they have to pay an additional fee to PCNA to keep it as a CPO when they resell it.

How did it end up at a Saab dealer? You know that negates the CPO warranty, right?

This C2S is similar (I actual like the wheels better), but will still be a CPO since they are a Porsche dealer. Please ask why the rear-view mirror is sitting in the back seat, because it drives me crazy every time I see it ha!

It's not at a Saab dealer. It is at the Porsche Dealer (Bluegrass Motors: Porsche, Audi, etc). They are CPO'ing it.

Generic pic on their Porsche website; they sent pics and build sheet.

Any thoughts on price. Car is about $40k off. Seems good to me

Gotcha. The video popped up when searching for the VIN and it has the Saab emblem. I figured I would mention the potential CPO issue just in case.

Thanks. Any though on the price? Seems like a look of experts here (meant sincerely). CPO seems to be the best way to get these cars.

$123K build. With a CPO, very good price.

Negotiate in PSE. Best to have them do the install. Worth like $3K parts and labor. Have them split it with you or whatever you can get.

Get any $$ off asking yet?

That seems like a decent price. I would buy it if it ticked all my boxes (I want PSE), otherwise I would keep looking.

I think a well-priced CPO 991.1 911S is a great deal, especially since most of them were barely driven. You can basically buy a new-ish car for 30%+ off MSRP and still have three or four years of the manufacturer's warranty

Would be interested to hear opinions on this as well. All the preowned TTS at the dealers appear to be sitting well above these levels.

Also great thread - been lurking for awhile and this has been very helpful!

Thanks!

They started at 84 and are at 82. I like the build (would like PSE but not a deal breaker) and the color.

Wife just told me she doesn't like red. So now there's that.
