It illuminates the sport chrono clock when you turn on the headlights. You can also adjust the brightness.

Thank @thegenius post 279.

If you could share the details for closing windows when locking that would be great!

I think it is part of the PDF, nonetheless here it is:

[1] System Selection -> Front-End Electronics

a-> Code/brush Hiding

b-> Rule Coding

c-> Coding value

d-> Coding value_2

e-> "Coding value--Comfort functions--Window comfort open" Set to true

[2] System Selection -> Front-End Electronics

-> Code/brush Hiding

-> Rule Coding

-> Coding value

-> Coding value_2

-> "Coding value--Comfort functions--Window comfort close" Set to true

[3] System Selection -> Front-End Electronics

-> Code/brush Hiding

-> Rule Coding

-> Coding value

-> Coding value_1

-> "Coding value--Comfort functions--Comfort functions via door lock" Set to true

[4] System Selection -> Front-End Electronics

The one thing on the list I could not do was code being able to unlock frunk without unlocking the doors. It is included in the PDF (#17), but cannot find it on Thinkgdiag. Anyone able to code this one?
I tried to do Illumination of the Chrono Clock and unfortunately it didn't work for me. What year is your car?

The coding to open and close the windows with the key fob is in the pdf. However, I only needed to change the first two codes to get it to work on my 718. I did not need to change the third and fourth codes. I am pretty sure the third code has something to do with Porsche Connect. I have no idea what the fourth code does.

Mine is 2015. Instructions say to change to FF (255 hexi) which it would not accept. I set to 60 and it worked.

For those who modified their braking system to flash under hard braking - can you see it take effect on the speedometer? Do flashers go on as you brake hard? Just wondering as this would be the check to ensure it is working.

Think of doing it.

I did this mod and had someone confirm it works from behind the car but don’t see any indicators on dash.

Not on the instrument panel.

I used reflective street signs in the rear view mirror in the dark to check and the adjust the g-value. 😆

Amazon.com: Thinkdiag2 All System Bidirectional Control OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner for iOS & Android, Bluetooth Scan Tool with CAN-FD Protocol, AutoVIN, Active Test, 15+ Reset Functions, ECU Coding, 1 Year Free : Automotive Amazon.com: Thinkdiag2 All System Bidirectional Control OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner for iOS & Android, Bluetooth Scan Tool with CAN-FD Protocol, AutoVIN, Active Test, 15+ Reset Functions, ECU Coding, 1 Year Free : Automotive

Does this unit do most of the coding surfaced in this thread? I heard how a version of the unit didn't work for iOS, but this one advertises compatibility with iOS.

I have the original thinkdiag which you can get for about $80 and it does all of the coding mentioned in this thread. The thinkdiag 2 is an updated version of the thinkdiag. I believe it has the same coding functionality as the original thinkdiag but do not know for sure. I don't believe any of the upgraded functionality has anything to do with coding so if that is all you want it for you are probably better off saving the money and getting the original thinkdiag.

Your statement about IOS is correct for my thinkdiag so it makes sense that it would also be true for the thinkdiag 2. Also, if you are using an android tablet, the thinkdiag app can't be downloaded from the playstore. However, I am using an android tablet and it works fine. You just have to manually install the app.

Edit: Here are links to the original thinkdiag (it is a little more expensive through amazon but may be worth it for the 30 day return policy):

So installed GT3 steering the other day and got to test it out today.

Was not understanding how people were saying that Porsche steering was "mushy", but after installing GT3, I understand. Noticeable difference. GT3 steering is heavier, and you have to work a bit harder, but the rewards are great. The steering stays in the curve or turn without wavering or flinching. It is almost as if it knows when the turn or curve ends. Stays solid without needing to make corrections, which I felt I needed to make with the OEM steering on the same roads.
