I am swapping my 991.1 Sport Design steering wheel for a 991.2 Multifunction wheel using the gpsadapter modules (https://gpsadapter.us/products/adapt...12775062798422). The 991.2 wheel comes out of a manual car, so, no overboost. In that case the i mode controls the PSE, which I do not have. Any idea how to make the i mode PDCC?

In case someone want to retrofit cruise control in the 991 or 981/982/718 like i did yesterday.

To get it activated with ThinkDiag you need an activation code (which you can find through google and order for 100USD) and put it in the Steering Wheel Electronic Control Unit (Special Function -> Function Enable)
And of course you need to buy a used steering column switch with the cruise control stalk on it. Maybe you also need another steering wheel angle sensor, but it was not necessary for me at my 718 (with PDK, Voice Control, SportChrono and Board Computer).

On top of that you need to activate the Cruise Control Options in all coding values that you can find (you can search for "Cruise" within the coding-function). Important are these three control units:
  • DME Control Unit
  • Instrument Cluster Control Unit
  • Steering Wheel Electronic Control Unit

No PIWIS needed for it.

Hi all. I just got a ducktail spoiler on my 991.1 and want to code the spoiler to deploy at a lot higher speed, but despite reading this thread and finding the pdf, I am unable to figure out how to do this.

i got the simple $100 thinkdiag unit that works on my iPhone app and can get to a few menus associated with the spoiler in rear-end electronics, but I can’t find deploy speed as an option or value anywhere.

What am I missing?

I don't think you can code with the IOS app. You need to get an android phone or pad and use the android version of the app

Hi, you must have an android phone or tablet for coding.

Just a quick update:

Recoded the spoiler to 322 kph and tested it and it was successful - no deployment at the usual 125 kph.

The real question is … did it deploy at 200mph (322kph)?

I am still struggling with a custom tire setting for TPMS (link here to save a long inline quote, from earlier in this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1384...l#post19523446)

Since I created a new custom tire setting and just switched to it .. is the fact that the tire sensors are the same part of the issue … meaning that those sensor ids are still associated to the oem 20” profile in the tpms/mfd?

I also found this setting in TPM … (picture).

That German word translates as Minimum Pressure … the value appears to be 1.6 bar Relative … relative to what?

I welcome any thoughts as I am still getting wonky warnings and when really cool .. alarms.

Relative to 1 atmospheric pressure.

Essentially 1.6 bar / 23 psi

I can't really add much other than I followed the instructions from the Cayman section and haven't had any issues whatsoever

Have coded various items listed in this thread and almost all have executed properly.

There are couple of things that haven't worked out.

- Center gauge backlight
coding was no issue and the backlighting was enabled.
however when exiting the garage, it seems that an auto dim function (991.2) makes it so dim as to be a completely useless code function.
- have coded the upshift arrow "shutdown" for normal & sport but the upshift arrow still comes on (991.2 PDK manual mode)

Just wondering if anyone has found the same and any possible solutions?

I don't know the answer, but you should try the GT3 steering. It is awesome.
