Thank you. I think the next step is to figure out exactly how long before the USB port shuts off. If it is 32 minutes then that suggests this is the correct code. Still odd that you would input 20 in order to change the shutoff to 32 minutes.
Anyone have answers to my other questions:
1. Current version of the thinkdiag app? Can someone send me the apk or a link to the apk of the current version?
2. What is everyone planning to do when their one year period expires? It looks like the cost to update is as much as I paid for the unit.
3. The listing of the thinkdiag that I purchased said that it has remote diagnosis capabilities. Here is the quote from the listing:
"4. Remote diagnosis: If you encounter any problems during use, you can ask a friend who also owns this product to help you solve it remotely."
Does anyone know if this is correct and if so, how this is done? I could not find anything in the app. I have a message into the seller asking what this is and how to use it.
Note: The seller initially responded to me and said that the unit does not have remote diagnosis. When I quoted the above language from the listing he said that he is looking into that language and will get back to me.
Thank you for the updated app and the remote diagnosis video. It seems like remote diagnosis is for the Thinkcar not Thinkdiag. I will see how the seller responds.
I also saw something that suggests that I can extend the one year subscription for just Porsche for $40 but haven't seen anything definitive.
Took it out of the box today.
Pretty cool.
And looks like the over-rev's have been in check
Also noticed the mileage listed was two miles more than showing on the odometer. Guessing thats the variance in tire sizes?
Finally, 24,958 miles at 607.09 hours is 41.3 mph. Disappointed!!!
I had the same issue with google play store saying the app is not compatible. Download the app using the link provided by thegenius in post 301 and install the app. If it doesn't let you install it, it is probably because you need to enable sideloading of apps. You can find instructions on how to enable sideloading by googling sideloading app on android.
I just used ThinkDiag to reprogram my coolant gauge and it worked perfectly. Now I can see what the engine is doing.
It always struck me as insulting that Porsche thought I was too stupid to comprehend that engine temperature fluctuated with operating conditions. It was even more disturbing to consider that perhaps Porsche was right about the automotive ignorance of most of its buyers.
While poking around the ThinkDiag menu, I also noticed that there is a speedometer correction factor adjustment. That would solve one of my other pet peeves, namely that every Porsche has a less accurate speedometer than any Chevrolet.
The menu currently reads:
1 000.0 100.0
2 250.0 100.0
3 400.0 100.0
Has anyone played with these factors and figured out how to perform an adjustment? My car reads about 2 percent high, at least with my 19-inch snow tires.

I programed my Coolant gauge to report actual values, then programed it partially back to read actual values once it saw ~215F or higher. I found the Temp Reading bouncing all over the place a little distracting, and just wanted it to report higher temps sooner then the original 230F level.
@MaxBlack It seems you currently have a 992.1 (2023) 911 ?? (I assume its a typo in your vehicle list). If you do have a 992.1, please let us know the functionality of the ThinkDiag Unit on the 992.1 vehicles. Thank You.

The three 100 figures mean the car is displaying the actual speed and there is no correction. I believe these three values on cars sold in Canada are greater than 100%. I tend to agree with you that I think my speedometer is about 1 to 2 mph fast. You can try changing the codes to less than 100 if you want to try correcting the speed. Once I saw that the three figures were 100 I didn't look at it further.

Do you know what the three figures represent? I would have thought that one could correct the speedometer with a single factor.
