I think Ken is just agreeing with you that car should be in ACC mode.

I am not having any issues with my thinkdiag. The only thing I don’t like is the code does not contain the name of the module like my crp919x did.

Yes, Accessory switch on, engine off. I will try again shortly and see if I can get this hooked up.

Thanks for all your help, finally got Thinkdiag connected, ultimately had to reload the app. Haven’t changed anything as of yet, maybe some code time over the weekend.

I corresponded with the people at innovative soft regarding their kit to add sport chrono but abandoned the idea when they indicated that I would also need to buy a PIWIS. I am not sure they are correct. With the PIWIS you can select automatic coding and it will change all of the codes. In order to try this with a thinkdiag we would need to know the codes that need to be changed so we could manually change the codes. My understanding is that the PIWIS can generate the list of codes that where changed with automatic coding so it is possible that someone with a PIWIS could provide us with the list of codes that need to be changed.

You can rent a piwis off ebay if you need. ~$100 for 1 week. That’s how I coded my GT3 steering and smoking package addition before I knew about thinkdiag.

I programed my 2014 C2 with GT3 steering and, unfortunately the warning showed up - guess I am an "early" 991. Turned off the warning

I have now proceeded to drive home from Austin TX, via Cocoa Beach FL, Wilmington NC & Pittsburg PA, to Toronto ON Canada - over 2,700 miles. I have to say, the mod is the most amazing thing ever! I loved my car, but thought the handling was not as intuitive as my very-tuned 964 had been - almost seemed there wasn't enough track... with the tune, those concerns are gone, feel is 1000% better and there is not a single regret!

Thank you for this thread and it's predecessors!

Thanks Ken, IT WORKED!!!
This alone was worth the price of the TD, not to mention all the other things it has accomplished. Amazing!

I had same issue on early 991.1S, I got the error so I also disabled the message and have had no issues.

I purchased everything and have made some changes to my 991.2. I cannot find a GT3 steering option choice anywhere. I have just about every other option as someone else posted, but GT3 does not show up.

What I'd really like to do are the ones below but do not know how to do these. Any help or direction is very welcome.
ˇ Brake lights EBD enabled, g-values (-0.65g/-0.35g), speeds (15kph/1kph) and timing (1 sec.) set
ˇ Remapped Coolant Gauge Curve to real (sensor) temperature values
ˇ Wiper Teardrop Function ON
ˇ Turn light one-touch set to 5x (instead of 3x)
ˇ Front DLR 4-point LEDs always on, even when headlights on
ˇ Expert Menu permanently enabled

I think it is just the 991.1 generation that had the GT3 option. The steering racks are different for the 991.2 if I remember correctly. Also, the electronic steering is much better in the 991.2 than how 991.1 came from the factory.

There's a PDF near the beginning of this thread. Download it and follow the path for each of the options. It's the same path on the X431 Launch and on the ThinkDiag unit.

I activated several things today on the 991.2. The Expert Menu is in German. There's a lot of into there if I could just understand it. 😊 I cannot find some of the changes required for lighting the four DRL lights with the headlights turned on. If anyone has something more specific than what is listed in the X431 coding guide pdf file we're referencing, I'd appreciate any updates there may be. I also don't have all the options listed for the EBD activation nor the Sound Symposer. The software doesn't find that option at all.

All in all, this whole thing is a real treat as many of the options have been programmed in my BMW's for many years and which I've wanted in the 991.2. I'm really glad to finally find some of them.
