This makes a lot of sense for the woke crowd. The faster companies and car owners are ostracized, the sooner the global CO2 emission religion can be the norm.

All this "the woke crowd" and "the government is coming for drivers!" stuff is hilarious to me. I really love my car. I've been enjoying the whole ownership experience and have the zeal of the recently converted. Porsche makes awesome cars! They're almost cheap for what you get! I say this all the time to people who didn't ask me anything about it and are just trying to get past me in the coffee shop! But they're also a corporation, and if they ****ed up and/or lied to regulators—which remember they have before about something very similar!—I am glad to know there is a legal process by which they will have to pay a penalty. And even better if I get a check or two out of it. I'll probably just give that money right back to them when I upgrade. But just because I like the cars a company makes doesn't mean I owe them any leniency if they **** up. That's capitalism, baby!

Cheap, maybe 😀. But specifically, I was thinking of the UK and EU. You year it, 2030, yada yada.

Was this all original owners only? what happened to the people that bought the car used?

I know a few owners personally that went through this and chose the buy back. They remained with the brand however, and upgraded.
