Hi All - I have been a lurker in this forum from quite sometime, though my recent lease was up from my 718 GTS. When I turned the car in, there was a 2016 911 GTS that just got turned in as well. So I asked then then eventually contracted the car.. As I was about to take delivery a couple days later, I was told that its part of the stop-sale campaign. Called a couple dealers and Porsche NA for details, and nobody knows when this would be over nor have any further details..
So... anybody else on the same boat as I am here? and how long have you guys been waiting?

Yea I was shocked how much my car is still worth but it comes back to all this free money. My 2015 GTS cab is not part of the stop-sale according to the dealer (it's in getting new tires) but the SA said they seem to add new serial numbers to the list here and there. So even if you were told your car is NOT part of it, that could have changed, or change later.

People are complaining about lack of info. The fact is, nothing has been established which is quite obvious. There is an ongoing lawsuit and my our speculation, same as all of you speculating, is that Porsche is being proactive based on experience with the last emissions related lawsuit. The more vehicles they hold the less they have to pay out for, assuming that can happen like it did before.
pure speculation. I have no idea other than what I e read same as all of you.
drive your car if you own it. Sell it if you want. Keep it if you want. Hell, burn it, if you want. Porsche doesn’t control you.

Toronto/Canada Update.
So ive purchased a 2014 911 w sport chrono and pdk . The dealer indicated after everything was finalized and the loan was under my name that there is a stop sale on the car. So i said no problem, as long as I get the car before the summer. Its been a month in a half so far and im getting worried. Any signs of hope?

At my local P-Car dealer in Chicago (I use to work for Porsche Auto Finance too...), honest estimate is not until the fall this is resolved.... This dealer isn't even taking in affected cars anymore since they don't want to finance and hold them through this uncertainty.

Here's a new twist - a new federal court class-action lawsuit filed in Pennsylvania against Porsche claims that its stop-sale order injured plaintiff Porsche owners by preventing them from using the Porsche dealership network via Porsche Finder to sell their vehicles.

Their list doesn't seem consistent or complete, supposedly 2012-2016 w/ Sport Chrono Package? Also mentions in that article that 2008-2013 were being looked into? Getting a little confusing on what's being investigated but it seems like a lawsuit that's recruiting clients

I would actually say the stop sale makes the plaintiffs’ cars with Sport Chrono more valuable.
