These cars are shipped and sold all over the country so if ClockGate is real it will impact vehicles nationwide.

You can also register your VIN at NHTSA, and get notified when safety recalls for your vehicles are underway. We just got one for my wife’s 4 Runner. Since this situation does not appear to be safety related, I suspect NHTSA is not/will not be involved.

I've been reading through this thread (I'm passively looking for a 991.1 C2S) and haven't seen it said explicitly, but reading between the lines, Porsche changed the engine mapping in Sport/Sport + on Sport Chrono equipped cars to increase performance, and to the detriment of emissions regulations. Not sure what else it could be.

Either way, if I was an owner of one of the affected cars, I wouldn't be rushing into a dealer to have them change/update a single thing. It will be interesting to see how this plays out....

Suddenly thousands of 991.1 with SC across the country were tragically lost in a boating accident.

I purchased a C2S with SC in June and the only way I’m going to bring it in for a fix is if that’s what I have to do to get the check. And if so, my next stop will be a performance shop for a cobb tune.

And all so some lawyers can get some billable hours.

If Porsche violated the EPA rules it will be much more than that.

OK, billable hours AND the partners get some lawsuit lottery proceeds.

My local dealer here in Charlotte called me this morning because I have been looking for a .1 turbo S cab. They got a jet black one in last night in trade on a 992. I am going to check it out today and they had zero clue about the stop sale. They said they own multiple Porsche dealers and this is news to them. Either they don’t care or just don’t know. All good with me hopefully the Turbo is what they say it is. I will report back of anything on the stop sale comes up today.

Turbo isn’t included in the stop sale.

I assume your Charlotte dealer is Hendrick. They also own Porsche Southpoint in the Raleigh-Durham area, and they claim no knowledge of any stop sale order either.

Avoid Hendrick.... I shopped them for my Cayenne... bought new so even playing field. The best discount they would do is 2K off. Porsche Greensboro gave me 15% (on a 2019 last November when 20's arrived the same time) and gave me 7K more for my trade. Easy decision to drive 100 miles for that deal.

Well they just wasted my time with a basalt black car after “confirming” it was jet black. On the search still....
