The most disappointing thing for me is what was once an almost 100% argument free thread, growing post by post from the questions and answers of its enthusiastic subscribers, has started to decend down the old and tired path of so many other forums.
Enough everyone please! This thread is only really focussing on those who are interested in Android units - for better or for worse.
Let's all contribute to the forums where we can make a positive contribution, wherever and whatever that may be.
NOW....getting that backup camera to work with a manual transmission car. I will test those white wires on the backup Composite input mini harness to see what comes out of those when I have time this weekend.
I'm preparing to install my CHSTEK unit this weekend. My car has front & rear aftermarket cameras. I see on the CHSTEK harness a yellow RCA jack labeled for a rear camera, There are other camera inputs, but none labeled for a front camera. Can anyone give guidance?
Also regarding the cameras, they require a 12v power source in addition to the video feeds. Which two wires am I looking for to feed power to the cameras?
Does your unit look like this one? If so, you need RCA #8 for the backup camera and RCA #19 for the front camera. You then control the front camera from the AUX app, which you can add to the home screen of your unit. I believe you take power from the two blue wires that I have circled.

Yes, I have #8. It's labeled as the backup camera input. There are 3 yellow RCA jacks on the other harness where you have circled #19. Of course, none of them are numbered as such. Two of them have labels designating them as VCBS-IN-1 and VCBS-IN-2. The third one is labeled as VIDEO OUT. I assume that that the two VIDEO-IN jacks are for cameras. I'm not seeing the blue wires in your picture (none circled that I can see).
On the CANBUS harness there are 3 single free wires. A pink one labeled KEY 1, a green & white striped wire labeled KEY 2 and a solid green wire labeled BRAKE.
I also have the blue wire in your diagram (#21) labeled AMP-CONT.

Key1 and Key2 I believe are for steering wheel controls and the Amp could be an Amp Turn - on Wire? Brake is probably for e-brake so you can't watch videos while the car is moving.
I have that one. Looking for a power source for that and a forward facing camera.
I was told earlier in the posts that the little white wires coming from the RCA mini harness for the backup camera are power. I just need to check this weekend when I poke around.

Key 1 and Key 2 are steering wheel control wires for non-canbus cars. Brake is the wire that permits video when the car is being driven (ie parking brake off). The other one is more promising.

Any power source will do for the front camera as it is manually switched. Just hook into any switched 12V+ (red) wire. To activate the front camera you use the AUX icon.
