I'd be surprised if they delivered it with more than one set of wheels. E.g. Extra cost is the incremental cost of the carbon wheels over the standard ones, not a spare set. Just like the wheels for the WP and on every other P model.

Does anyone know how much these carbon wheels are retail, not as an upgrade option for $15k? Considering pccb is $9k but $24k as retail.. can we assume the same ratio? So $40k to purchase retail?

I think Porsche charges $45k for the Magnesium RS rims, so who knows. BTW, these (BBS) Mag rims available elsewhere for less than half that amount. No alternative outlets for the CF rims though...

Default What I was told

July/August (I know the factory closes for most of August) builds for US will be 2018 model, delivery September.

Later builds/deliveries will be 2019 models and scheduled for September builds thru December builds.

I have January delivery from a December build. Order in but because the 2019 model not available for official spec it's subject to change and price adjustment. However I saw the allocations (very very few) in the dealers ordering system in their computer and had my choice of their allocations barring the 2018 model.

I don't know if the early build 2018 models are firm orders as I don't have one.

All dates subject to push of course.

Is anyone concerned about having to constantly carry around a few jugs of water with them to every track day if they live in hot climates? Wouldn't that be a massive pain? Or is there something special about the tank?

Well at least it will be lighter on the way back home!.. Most people who can afford to buy and track this car will likely have some sort of support vehicle with a couple of friends to help out.. I don't think it will be an issue for the small percentage of those who will track this monster.

yes, I ordered a Camaro ZL11LE based on it

Since it just sprays onto the outside of the IC, any water from a hose or tap is fine. The BMW system is internal, so you need fancy pure water (distilled or something harder to find)...

I wouldn't put anything but distilled water in such a system unless you want to gunk up the nozzles with calcium deposits over time.

On Subarus and Mitsubishi, they use windshield washer fluid. Would this help?

One added benefit is that it doesn’t freeze in Winter.
