The 991 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

Huh? I'm simply describing the 991 GT3 market as it stands now and what's happened over the past year; which has been surprisingly strong.
Who knows what will happen in the next 12 months. Could go up, could go down, could stay the same. Plenty of folks have been predicting lower prices for the 991 GT3 over the past few years however, that's definitely not new... Even in 2019 there were guys saying pricing was too high for 991.2's, and this was when practically new(1 year old), winged, low mileage (1-3k miles) GT3's were selling 20k below MSRP, with touring's at MSRP.
So, yeah, kinda laughable when someone says that they think pricing for 991 GT3's is "too high" in late 2023. It's always been too high for dreamers/aspirational buyers at whatever price it is at the time... 😆

For me it's the interior. The 992 interior is too modern, digital, too generic. It feels like any other modern car with apple car play, LCD screens, etc. It feels like my daily driver SUV. Not special.
The 991.2 interior will probably be peak Porsche interior. I own a .1 3RS and over everything, except the infotainment. It's not bad, it's charming, I will probably upgrade it with one of those aftermarket PCM upgrades when I get bored.
I've never drivnve a 991.2 GT3 RS. It is really true that the .1 is a more streetable car, better road manners in terms of stiffness, and more visceral?

In the GT cars, I still prefer the more analog layout of the 991. But the shift lights in the 992 GT3 are pretty cool.

Probably because if we open up the discussion to alternatives for equal $, the absurdity becomes obvious.
"I wouldn't buy a 991.2 manual when I could get a 2019 Urus with 45,000 miles for the same $."
"991.2 RS? I think that sort of $ is better spent on a G63 or DBX."
991.2 GT3/RS are strong value in relation to the broader automotive market, and in relation to their own kind. Unless you're greasing palms, replacement cost on a 991.2 RS, i.e., a car that offers the same sort of experience and durability, is currently 2x in the form of a 992.1 RS. $50k+ to replace a base 991.2 with 992.
HOWEVER, you could get the new Dodge 170 for 991.2 RS money, so might have to think on that.
The much stronger case is that 991.2 pricing has yet to catch up to its performance/looks/value/collectability.

Question: If you order a car with deviated yellow stitching, why wouldn't the leather wrapped vents get the same treatment? Having two different colors of stitching in the same line of sight is really messing with my OCD. I know, first world problems. This is in WP0AF2A99KS165483 thats for sale on BAT right now

It was an CXX option I believe, but I think he might've gotten it done aftermarket. Not too sure why he didn't match the yellow stitching color.

I believe the Porsche allows different color stitching other for various components. I always get lost in there on the configurator.

Oh I guess the option was option code CDN. Interesting how back no one chose that option, I almost never see it on any cars.
