Nobody knows. This has been an unanswered question for many years. Porsche could at least include the factory cage and let the customer install at their discretion. But maybe that would open doors to complaints about install problems that dealers wouldn't want to put up with.

As interpreted by Porsche, it prevents the fitment of 'race track' roll bars to a street vehicle imported into the US
So will Porsche dealerships in US void warranty or give grief if there is an aftermarket roll bar? Or will they install a roll bar purchased after delivery. I question how you can tell if the install was done by a reputable shop.

No warranty issues. Roll bars are pretty benign dude.
Installs are simple, just a few bolts.

Gotcha. Just curious that's all. Because I see color matched Lizard Green roll bars etc. that look factory.

In the market and doing my homework that's all.

Ideal spec is 2019 Lizard Green with PCCBs, Carbon seats, and FAL and roll bar. I prefer higher mileage cars too.

Yeah most people choose to have them painted/powder coated to match their exterior color. I went black.

For the cage/install? I don't remember. I think install was a few hundred. BBI cage, so whatever they cost.

Anybody else just waiting for more sensible prices before purchasing? I figured I might buy a Miata and wait this out.

I bought a 2021 VW GTI in Cornflower Blue with red deviated stitching (same paint code as Porsche Shark Blue) with a 6MT because of this. The car is insanely fun after putting some Neuspeed springs in it and I smile non stop driving it. Could buy 5 of them for the Porsche ADM's being asked. Talk about amazing value for the money. Crazy. I may not ever sell the car. It's analog which I love as well.

What is more sensible to you? -50k off? You may be waiting years if it happens. -10-20k off? Is that truly worth waiting at this 200k+ price point instead of buying something and enjoying right away if its the spec you want?

The time of year isn’t ideal for the majority of the US and all of Canada going into winter. No such thing as free money anymore so maybe the market corrects 10% over the next few months. Recession possible as well. I always find the hunt just as fun as getting the car you were after. And yes, to some $10-20k off waiting a few months makes a big difference.
